Сенегалын шигшээ багийн дасгалжуулагч Папе Тиав ажлаа хүлээлгэн өглөө

Дэлхийн аваргын тэмцээний шөвгийн 32-ын шатанд Бельгид хожигдсоны дараа Сенегалын хөлбөмбөгийн холбоо ийм шийдвэр гаргажээ.

Сенегалын хөлбөмбөгийн холбоо 2024 онд томилогдсон 45 настай дасгалжуулагч Папе Тиавтай хамтран ажиллахаа больсон тухай ням гарагт албан ёсоор зарлав. Багийн удирдлага спортын амжилт болон ирээдүйн төлөв байдалд нарийвчилсан үнэлгээ хийсний үндсэн дээр энэхүү шийдвэрийг гаргасан гэж мэдэгджээ. Даваа гарагт тус холбооны ерөнхийлөгч Абдулай Фалл хэвлэлийн бага хурал зарлаж, энэхүү шийдвэрийн шалтгаан болон цаашдын төлөвлөгөөг танилцуулахаар болсон байна.

Дэлхийн аваргын тэмцээнд Сенегал хэсгийн шатнаас Франц, Норвегид хожигдсон ч Иракийг буулган авснаар шилдэг гуравдугаар байр эзэлсэн багуудын нэгээр шалгарч хасагдах шатанд үлдсэн. Гэвч шөвгийн 32-ын тоглолтод Бельгитэй хийсэн тоглолтын 86 дахь минут хүртэл 2:0-ээр тэргүүлж явсан ч сүүлийн мөчид хоёр гоол алдаж, улмаар нэмэлт цагт торгуулийн цохилтоос гоол алдан тэмцээнээс хасагдсан юм.

Senegal have parted ways with coach Pape Thiaw after the side’s last-32 elimination at the World Cup.

The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) announced on Sunday they had parted company with the 45-year-old, who took over as national team boss in 2024.

The former Senegal international led the team to victory in the Africa Cup of Nations in January — though the controversy around that final continues after Morocco was awarded the win two months after by an appeals committee.

Thiaw ushered his team off the pitch in that January final when Morocco were awarded a stoppage-time penalty, preceding a 17-minute delay before Brahim Diaz’s penalty was saved and Pape Gueye scored an extra-time winner.

A disappointing World Cup campaign saw Senegal eliminated after extra time in the round-of-32 by Belgium despite the African side leading 2-0 in the 86th minute. Thiaw’s side conceded two late goals and a penalty in extra time.

Senegal had qualified for the knockout stage as one of the best eight third-place sides in the group stage, with a five-goal win over Iraq following defeats to France and Norway.

“After a thorough evaluation of the sporting results and prospects of the national team, the Executive Committee deemed it necessary to initiate this procedure in the best interests of Senegalese football,” an FSF statement read.

It added that FSF president Abdoulaye Fall will hold a press conference on Monday to explain the “reasons behind this decision” and “to discuss the future”.

In May, the FSF “categorically” denied that Thiaw refused to travel with the team to the United States as they began their preparations for the World Cup. Reports from Africa had suggested Thiaw refused to board a flight, due to his contract with the FSF having expired in February, delaying the team’s travel plans.
