Жүжигчин Бен Аффлек болон Жэйми Динг нар “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” нэвтрүүлэгт оролцож, 1 сая долларын эзэд боллоо.

Ben Affleck and Jamie Ding won a huge amount of money on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire for the former’s nonprofit Eastern Congo Initiative. For the final question, the duo exhausted both their lifelines, Ask-the-Host and Phone-a-Friend. Eventually, they became more certain about the answer, thanks to Jimmy Kimmel‘s suggestion, which helped them earn big money to support a good cause.
Oscar winner Ben Affleck and Jamie Ding won the show’s $1 million prize for charity
Affleck and Ding earned the $1 million prize after answering a final trick question, for which they chose to use their remaining lifelines. The question was “In an annual Thanksgiving tradition, all but which of these have been the names of turkeys pardoned by a U.S. president?” The options to choose from were: A. Peanut Butter & Jelly, B. Tater & Tot, C. Mac & Cheese, or D. Spaghetti & Meatball.
Affleck recalled that Kimmel is good with cooking and food and has knowledge of current events, so he might have the right answer, which led them to use their final lifeline, i.e., Ask-the-Host. The host said, “I could see me adding a big bowl in Donald Trump’s hands and him slurping up the spaghetti and meatballs. That one sounds like it wasn’t the one to me.” Affleck replied, “This is the person that would actually be paying attention to every pardoned turkey’s name. Probably the best person in the world to ask this question to” (via People).
Before locking in the final answer, Kimmel apologized well in advance if his response turns out to be wrong. However, he stuck to the Spaghetti and Meatball option. Unsure of what the correct answer could be, Ding and Affleck decided to phone a former’s friend, Steven Morrison. Even Morrison asked the duo to go with Kimmel’s answer. Eventually, the host’s guess was right, and Affleck and Ding won. The prize money will now go to Affleck’s non-profit organization created to support the people residing in eastern Congo.
