The New Orleans Pelicans forward spoke to Yahoo Sports about the new players owned training facility in Los Angeles – part of PLYRS UNTD – and how it’s helped his offseason prep.

So what’s, what’s it been like in this facility so far?
It’s been great.
Yeah.
This is a one-stop shop.
We get to lift here, we can go on the court, and that’s something I haven’t had while I’ve been in LA.
You know, I’m always here during the summertimes at the end of the year, or in the summer.
So, you know, it’s been a blessing to have this facility.
What’s, what’s your favorite part about this, facility?
Weirdly enough, is all the NBA guys here.
So, you know, when I am working out, it’s that level of like I gotta show them that I’ve also been working, too.

So it’s, healthy competition.
And then also we’ll have the open runs, so that’ll be great.
Yeah, I was gonna ask about that.
How, how’s the competition like down on the courts with those guys?
Tomorrow’s the first, first one- Yeah that I’ll be part- participating in, and so I’m really excited for that.
I mean, this is my first summer.
In two summers I’ve been able to play.
So, you know, this, coming alive this summer is a pretty good timing I would say.
So I’m very, very happy about it.
And then talking about the Pelicans and yourself, what, what are you looking forward to this season now that you guys are all healthy and- Mm-hmm what are you looking forward to the upcoming season?

Coach Moz, I mean, Coach Moz, I’ve known him for Since probably 2024 when we worked together for select camp.
He was a coach for my team for two years.
And, yeah, really cool, he’s always been a good guy.
Every time, every time we played against, you know, the Magic- Yeah we would speak.
You know, just always just a really good dude, so really excited to see him coach and get to know him more and, you know, be with the guys.

What are those conversations like with him so far?
A lot of conversations.
Moz is a talker for sure.
Yeah.
So we have a lot of different conversations.
I’m supposed to call him actually right after I get off this- you know, this interview so- Okay we’ll, we’ll be in constant communication.

And then, Zion kind of went viral this off-season.
You know, he’s super in shape.
Is this the best shape you’ve seen him in so far?
Looks like it right now.
Yeah.
He, he looks really good right now and, you know, just happy for him.
Just continue to stay, stay with it and stay healthy.
That’s, that’s the biggest thing for him.
The sky’s the limit.
Yeah.
So this off-season seemed kind of crazy.
What was the craziest move you’ve seen this off-season?
I think the one that wasn’t I mean, I knew a little bit before it got out, but the LaMelo one- Yeah that one was a crazy one.

I, I did not expect that to happen.
I really didn’t.
Yeah.
And, who else?
Giannis also surprised me.
I thought he was going to Boston.
Yeah.
And, when I saw that notification about him going to Miami I was a little crazy.
So I think those were the two ones that really surprised me a little bit.
And then what were your thoughts about LeBron going to 76ers?
You know, this is a best win now move so, you know, whatever.
I, I don’t There’s not really too much I can say about it.
Yeah.
But, you know, happy for him.
How, how many more seasons is he gonna play?
Seem, always seems like every year it’s possibly gonna be his last then.
I mean, we- probably got two more at least.
At least three.
So he’s got the deal so- Yeah probably two more.
Gotcha.
So yeah.
