The official VisionQuest trailer is here, bringing back Paul Bettany as the popular Marvel character for the new Disney+ show. The mini-series will be directly related to the events of the 2021 MCU series WandaVision.
Bettany will reprise the role of Vision, an android and an Avenger who first appeared in 2015’s Avengers: Age of Ultron. He then returned in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War before appearing in WandaVision.
VisionQuest will mark the conclusion of a trilogy that began with WandaVision and continued with the 2024 Agatha All Along TV show.

What is known about VisionQuest
The VisionQuest trailer shows white Vision hiding from authorities after the events of WandaVision, when he was weaponized. With a bounty on his head, Vision will have to forget real connections while embracing real found families. Todd Stashwick will be seen playing Paladin, a bounty hunter who is after Vision. James Spader also returns as the menacing villain Ultron, a decade after he was last seen in Age of Ultron.
Besides Bettany, VisionQuest’s cast also features Henry Lewis (A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong), Jonathan Sayer (The Goes Wrong Show), James D’Arcy (Made in Italy, Agent Carter), Orla Brady (The Foreigners, Into the Badlands), Emily Hampshire (The Rig), and Ruaridh Mollica (Too Rough, Sebastian).
Terry Matalas (Star Trek: Picard) serves as the showrunner for the VisionQuest TV miniseries. Earlier this year, Bettany spoke highly of Matalas regarding their collaboration for this project. He said, “I think that Terry realized and agreed with me that I feel like Marvel gets rewarded when it takes really big swings.”
The actor added, “I think that he just understood in his bones who Vision is. And Vision is for the kid that I was when I was a kid — the kid that felt like an outsider and felt like they had no community that they fit into. And he knew who these stories are for and who Vision is for. And I think we made a really fun and entertaining show about a guy who’s an outsider and trying to find out who he is.”
VisionQuest, with all eight episodes, will premiere on Disney+ on October 14, 2026.
