Deadline reports Daniel Roher (Tuner, Navalny) is attached to direct Paradox, Inc. at Universal and Lord Miller, a film adaptation of the yet-to-be-released novel by Forrest Brazeal. The story concerns a plucky startup company racing against a Big Tech corporation to develop the first consumer time machine.
The Swallow
Bloody-Disgustingreports The Swallow, a horror film about “a sentient, quicksand-like sludge” that “terrorizes a group of young people” in a “brutally efficient, effects-forward creature feature” will premiere at Fantastic Fest later this year. Directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes, Pet Sematary) the film stars Grace Van Dien, Jack Wright, Tayler Buck, Kalama Epstein, and Kayla DiVenere.
Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom
Deadline also has word that Nina Sosanya, Paul Whitehouse, Roman Kemp, and Dani Dyer have joined the voice cast of Shaun the Sheep: The Beast of Mossy Bottom. Sosanya will voice “Mossingham’s trusted vet,” while Whitehouse plays a “local shopkeeper.” Kemp is said to voice a “Pizza Boy,” opposite Dyer as “the town’s social media-savvy influencer.”
Treasure Island
During a recent interview with Collider, Ridley Scott revealed he hopes to get Owen “the kid from Adolescence” Cooper to play Jim Hawkins in his upcoming film adaptation of Treasure Island.
