War of the Drakons: The Seer’s Prophecy
According to Deadline, producer Barrie M. Osborne (The Lord of the Rings, The Matrix) is backing a new “ambitious fantasy project” called War Of The Drakons opposite Jeanette B. Milio and Jim Milio of Alliance Cinema. Said to be “the beginning of a franchise,”Wars of the Drakons: The Seer’s Prophecy is “set in the war-torn world of Aerion, where kingdoms battle for power with the aid of Drakons — formidable dragon-like creatures possessing extraordinary supernatural abilities. At the center of the story is legendary warrior and Drakon master Kale D’Sar, whose loyalty to a ruthless king is shattered when a mysterious Seer reveals a prophecy: the King’s own daughter, Princess Kahrie, is destined to become a great warrior, unite the divided kingdoms of Aerion, and ultimately bring an end to his brutal Blood Regime.When the King moves to eliminate the child, Kale becomes part of a dangerous conspiracy to save her, forcing him to choose between duty, family and the future of an entire world. Ridley Scott’s ‘Alien’
During a recent interview with the French outletAlloCiné, Ridley Scott stated he’s returning to course correct the Alien franchise by completing his David trilogy with Michael Fassbender following the merely “OK” Alien: Romulus.
Actually, I suddenly went back and got involved. The one that just came out [Alien: Romulus] was OK. I think it needs some help. So, I’ve gone back in.
I’ve already got a footprint for the next Alien. We did Prometheus, and then Alien: Covenant. So, I’m picking up where we left off in Covenant with Michael Fassbender, who now thinks he’s Ozymandias.
Effigy
Deadline also reports production has wrapped on Effigy, an Australian horror movie from directors Myles McEwen and Ripley Stevens starring Chris Gun, Lauren Koopowitz, David Daradan, and Saya Kraetzer. Set in 1989 England, the story follows the Marsh family “as they endure a violent haunting sparked by the unearthing of a mysterious effigy doll. An entity behind the disturbance grows increasingly fixated on the family’s daughter, prompting two paranormal investigators to dig into what becomes a traumatic case.”
Man of Tomorrow
Speaking with Screen Rant, Adria Arjona stated she trained “two-to-three hours a day” in preparation for her mysterious role in Man of Tomorrow.
I have muscles that I’ve never had in my life. I’m training two to three hours a day on a crazy diet. Drinking coffee is the only thing that keeps me up. And I’m really excited!

Darkwing Duck
In conversation with Collider, original Darkwing Duck voice actor Jim Cummings revealed both he and longtime Launchpad actor Terry McGovern have been recast for the upcoming reboot.
I did a pilot for it several years ago, to see the viability of it coming back, and everybody went nuts. And they are bringing it back, and they’re hiring somebody else to do Terry McGovern’s role of Launchpad, and they’re hiring somebody else to be Darkwing Duck. I hope they get…everything they deserve. Crazy, I don’t know what to tell you.
Gargoyles
Relatedly, Gargoyles creator Greg Wiseman told Comics Online the planned live-action reboot is officially “dead” at Disney+.
Well, I know the live-action side of it is, uh, the Atomic Monster had the license to develop a live-action Gargoyles for Disney+, and that’s dead. I have no idea about animation, but there are no current plans for live-action.
