Is zekken dropped from MIBR due to a breach of contract? Did he say this?
“You guys promised me a superteam, all I can see is that Mazino can’t call for shit, Aspas is a dictator, tex can’t hit a shot for his life, fRoD is the biggest fRauD I’ve ever seen. Get me out of here.”
That explosive tweet making the rounds on X is completely fake. VCT Central is a parody account, and that dramatic meltdown reads like a copypasta penned by a tilted player after losing a ranked game.
Zachary “zekken” Patrone is one of the most soft-spoken, upbeat, and team-first players in Tier 1 VCT. Hearing him blast his coach as a fraud or label aspas a dictator is pure internet satire.
The fake tweet blew up because the rumor mill regarding zekken leaving MIBR is spinning at top speed.
Why Everyone Thinks He Might Leave
The community chatter isn’t coming out of nowhere. There are a few very real factors fueling the theory that he might walk:
- The Superteam Didn’t Fully Launch: When MIBR built this squad with aspas, zekken, tex, and Mazino, expectations were sky-high. Falling short of dominant runs leaves players frustrated, and an elite entry duelist isn’t going to sit comfortably after a bumpy year
- The Role Clash: Stacking zekken and aspas on the same roster was always a wild experiment. You have two world-class duelists trying to split resources. Bending your individual playstyle only feels rewarding if you are lifting international trophies
- Massive Market Value: As fans on VLR keep pointing out, zekken instantly upgrades almost any roster on Earth. If organizations like NRG, G2, or even a returning Sentinels come knocking with big offers, MIBR faces a tough fight to keep him
The Reasons He Might Stick Around
Before packing his bags on his behalf, there are solid reasons to believe he stays put:
- Contract Reality: He signed a multi-year deal with MIBR. Unless a rival org drops a massive buyout, MIBR holds all the operational control.
- Belief in the Vision: He chose to leave Sentinels specifically to join forces with aspas and this project. One rough season doesn’t automatically mean he has given up on making the partnership work.
- No Bad Blood: Recent interviews show he still maintains a positive mindset about the team’s growth. Laughing on stage during high-pressure elimination games and talking up the team’s potential doesn’t sound like someone checked out.
The parody tweet was just gasoline on an existing flame, but until official roster announcements drop, any talk of zekken leaving MIBR remains pure off-season speculation.
