Page’s fight announcement caught fans by surprise but wasn’t a break from the trend that has been developing in his UFC career either.
The Brit made it very clear what the stakes were heading into this matchup, having been honest about this being the last fight on his contract.
Page wanted guarantees from the UFC if he re-signs, but it remains unclear whether this will be the case following his UFC Paris bout.

Michael ‘Venom’ Page secures another decision win at UFC Paris
Michael ‘Venom’ Page and Nursulton Ruziboev didn’t blow the roof off the Accor Arena over three rounds.
Page said he would be keeping things simple with his walkout, and while this was true to some extent, he still got the fans out of their seats in classic ‘MVP’ fashion.
It was clear from the opening bell that the Brit wanted to be more aggressive in this fight, but an early leg kick led to him being taken down and controlled.
Page threatened some submissions, kept himself safe, and was able to get back to his feet where he landed several strikes, but nothing too significant.
The unique striker really settled into his groove in the second round, having landed one of the nastiest looking stomp kicks to the knee that the UFC has ever seen.
Ruziboev had some more control time in the third round but wasn’t able to do much with it or get close to his opponent, leaving the fight to go to the scorecards.
Page got the win by unanimous decision, with all three judges seeing the fight 29-28.
