General Hospital’s recent episode featured a heartbroken Jason, who still has feelings for Britt and opens up about them to Carly. The reason behind their breakup was cited as “irreconcilable differences” and “trust issues.” The latter emerged after Britt confessed that she had been aware of Anna’s tormenting situation since Cullum showed up in Port Charles. This left Jason shocked, as he had believed all this time that she had been kept in the dark about Anna.

In the recent episode, Carly and Jason spend time playing pool at the Brown Dog. However, Jason is unable to focus on the game as he still reels from his breakup with Britt. He tells Carly that he still has feelings for her despite the trust issues. However, he remains firm that their bond is over and he isn’t looking back. Carly, meanwhile, remains least interested in the breakup story but rather wonders as to what really happened with Jack. Moreover, she also becomes concerned about Joss and hopes that the WSB doesn’t go after Valentin.
In the same episode, Willow suggests to Britt that she might consider getting help from Jason regarding the WSB and Jack situation. However, Britt reveals that she cannot do this because she and Jason have now broken up. As Britt tries to leave the restaurant, Obrecht becomes curious about what happened between her and Jason. Ultimately, Britt has flashbacks of the events that led to their breakup and admits that she and Jason had irreconcilable differences.
Jason’s trust was shattered at the time when Britt confessed that she knew about the Anna situation. This made him look stupid, given that he stepped in to protect Britt from Anna and defended her case. He tells Anna that his girlfriend wasn’t aware of Cullum’s other sinister activities and was forced to work on Faison’s cold fusion project.
