Disney+ is set to add another Marvel title to its October lineup shortly after VisionQuest premieres. Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends will return with new episodes next month, continuing the adventures of Iron Man, Ironheart and Iron Hulk. The animated series is scheduled to make its return just two weeks after VisionQuest arrives on the streaming platform.
Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends arrives on Disney+ in October
Disney+ will add another Marvel title to its lineup in October with new episodes of Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends. According to Disney Plus Press, the animated series will return to the streaming service on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Its arrival comes shortly after VisionQuest, which is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on October 14, 2026.
The series centers on three young super-geniuses who take on superhero identities while working together to protect their city. Tony Stark becomes Iron Man, Riri Williams takes on the mantle of Ironheart, and Amadeus Cho operates as Iron Hulk. Their armored suits give them the ability to fly and increase their strength, allowing them to tackle the various problems they encounter.
The trio, known as the Iron Friends, work out of their Iron Quarters headquarters. Vision and Iron Pup are also part of their setup as the heroes use their intelligence, technology, and individual abilities to deal with threats and other challenges around the city.
The animated series has also introduced well-known Marvel characters through its storylines. Earlier this year, the show launched its “Giant-Sized Armor” arc, which featured Thor, Loki, and Odin, with Alan Ruck providing the voice for the latter.
Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends first premiered on Disney Jr. on August 11, 2025. The first 10 episodes were subsequently made available on Disney+ on August 12. The upcoming batch will continue the series when it arrives on the streaming platform on October 28, 2026.
