EastEnders has witnessed the exit of an important character. Sophie Khan Levy, known for playing Priya Nandra-Hart, has left the series. In a recent video, executive producer Ben Wadey bid farewell to the actress with some sweet words while confirming her real-life pregnancy.

EastEnders’ Instagram page shared an emotional video confirming Sophie Khan Levy is leaving the show. Executive producer Ben Wadey came forward to give a farewell speech and wish her luck for her future.
“We have just wrapped Sophie’s last scene with us on EastEnders. Congratulations. A massive thank you on behalf of everyone for an extraordinary three years,” he said. Wadey further shared that it’s not easy “to come in and put on the shoes of a new character in the show and instantly become an icon.”
The producer acknowledged her for leading “so many amazing stories.” He added, “You’ve had brilliant, unlikely partnerships with people like Martin, with Ian, with Jean. I’ve been enjoying you actually driving Max Branning to have a heart attack by stressing him out so much.”
Wendy expressed that Levy is “going to be very, very missed.” He also mentioned her pregnancy, saying, “I don’t think it’s a big spoiler to say that you’re onto a probably more important adventure next. We wish you all the best, and thank you for being so brilliant.”
Levy described her stint on the show as “three incredible years.” Further, the 37-year-old pointed at her baby bump and said, “I can’t believe I have to leave, but I do because there’s something coming imminently.”
The actress continued, “Hopefully, I get a bit of time. But you are all a joy.” Levy thanked the team and fans for their support while playfully teasing her return. “Watch this space. Who knows if Priya will make a return? See ya. Wish me luck.”
Levy’s stint ended with Priya leaving Walford after Cindy found out the former was carrying Max’s child. The actress shot her final scenes at Cindy and Max’s wedding, which aired weeks ago.
