Marc Diakiese believes his upcoming opponent has made a massive oversight during his fight camp which has given him a huge advantage.
This coming Saturday, former UFC star Marc Diakiese makes his debut in soaring European promotion, OKTAGON, when he takes on highly-touted German prospect Fedor Duric at OKTAGON 94.
The ‘Bonecrusher’ hasn’t fought since last April when he made his only appearance under the PFL banner, losing via a first round knockout against Gadzhi Rabadanov, who went on to win the 2025 lightweight tournament.
And ahead of his clash against Duric, which is set to take place in front of 60,000 fans at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt, Germany, the UFC veteran believes his opponent has made a massive oversight.
Diakiese claims Duric’s YouTube channel has given him big insight into his camp
Duric is just 22 years old and he has only had 11 fights throughout his professional MMA career, making him significantly less experienced than Diakiese.
And the popular British striker believes that his inexperience has shown throughout his camp, as he has been posting videos on his YouTube channel talking to his coaches about his game plan along with other sensitive information.
With that, ‘Bonecrusher’ has criticized his ‘stupid’ decision to do that, claiming that it will be a big advantage for him come Saturday night.
“the things he’s posting you just don’t post on social media, because he thinks I’m overlooking him when I’m not. He’s been posting a lot of videos on YouTube with his coaches talking gameplan and how his sparring is going and the people he’s got in to imitate me, it’s a stupid thing to do but I’m just happy he’s done that for me,” Diakiese told Bloody Elbow in an exclusive interview.
“I believe he’s a good prospect but he’s got a little bubble around him, where he has people telling him he’s great, he feels he can post those kinds of things but when he’s talking game plan, I’m learning off that so it’s good to see.”
As has become the norm with OKTAGON, the event is expected to bring in 60,000 fans and is set to be another exciting spectacle in front of a huge crowd.
And that is something Diakiese is excited for as he wants to step into the cage and silence the German crowd on enemy territory, potentially earning himself a title shot.
“Yeah it’s amazing, imagine fighting in front of 60,000 and the one thing I love about the German crowd they’re really passionate about it and I love when you silence the crowd, they don’t say nothing they go very quiet, I respect that so I want to go and silence them.”
