Ryan Garcia is looking to get out again in December to make 2026 a three-fight year.
The 29-year-old won his first world title in February by beating Mario Barrios via unanimous decision, and marked his first defence with a two-round blowout of Conor Benn earlier this month.
With his stock as high as ever, Garcia is looking to build on his momentum and become ‘the face of boxing’ as stars like Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez come towards the end of their careers.
Benn was the second Brit Garcia has beaten in the pro ranks, with an impressive win over Olympian Luke Campbell coming first in 2021.
Now, he has been targeted by another UK welterweight in Conah Walker, who believes he can offer much more than Benn did.

Since a points loss to former champion Lewis Crocker in 2024 and a comeback win over Lewis Ritson, former British champion Walker has put together a string of four consecutive knockouts, each more impressive than the last.
The fan-favourite Brit is now ranked number three with the WBA and number seven with the IBF as he closes in on a dream world title shot.
After a proposed fight with former champion Brian Norman Jr fell through, Walker is now reported to be headlining back in Wolverhampton against number five ranked WBO contender Alexia Rocha.
Garcia’s next move is so far unclear, after the champion claimed top target Isaac Cruz has ducked him. A unification with Teofimo Lopez remains his goal, however Lopez’s mandated order to fight Jack Catterall – who shares management with Walker – may delay or cancel those plans entirely.
