Latin music’s vinyl boom in the US is having quite the year.
According to the RIAA’s newly released mid-year report, Latin vinyl generated $13.7 million in revenue during the first half of 2026, already well ahead of the $7.4 million generated throughout all of 2025.
The format moved roughly 800,000 units through the first six months of the year, representing a 291.2% increase compared to the same period in 2025. Revenue, meanwhile, jumped 245.8% year over year, from $4 million to $13.7 million.
Vinyl helped push overall physical revenue for Latin music to $14 million, more than triple the $4.2 million generated during the first half of 2025. Still, physical formats remain a relatively small piece of the picture: streaming accounted for 96% of the $542.2 million generated by Latin recorded music in the US during the period.

One major contributor to the vinyl surge has been Bad Bunny’s DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS (grab a copy here). The album has continued to perform strongly on vinyl in 2026 following a format release that previously produced the largest single-week vinyl sales total for a Latin album since Luminate began tracking sales in 1991.
More broadly, Latin recorded-music revenue grew 8.6% during the first half of 2026, outpacing the 6.9% growth of the US recorded-music market overall. The period marked Latin music’s 13th consecutive mid-year increase, while its share of total US recorded-music revenue climbed to 9.1%, up from 8.9% in 2025.
