England star Alex Scott’s stock is rising and three Premier League clubs are in the race to secure his signature in January.
Scott, who has had a fine start to the season with Bournemouth, made his England debut last week when he came on as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Czechia.
He then made his full debut in the 7-0 thrashing of Croatia on Saturday, pulling the strings in midfield alongside Elliot Anderson and Jude Bellingham.
Chelsea leading race for England star Alex Scott
The 23-year-old is expected to be a permanent fixture in the England team for years to come, with Thomas Tuchel hailing him as “the complete package”.
Plenty of clubs share the same stance, including Tuchel’s former club Chelsea – who The Telegraph say are leading the race.
Journalist Matt Law reports that the Blues are are the very front of the queue and will push to sign him.

They are the club showing the most interest but Liverpool and Arsenal are also believed to be known admirers. There are even suggestions that Real Madrid have been keeping tabs and could look to add another English talent to join Los Blancos.
But Chelsea are leading the way, having made multiple bits for Scott in the summer. With Enzo Fernandez joining Manchester City, they are understood to have offered more than £60 million for the former Bristol City star but were knocked back by Bournemouth.
The Cherries do not wish to sell Scott but Chelsea are still keen and are willing to wait until the summer window.
Bournemouth have been looking to tie Scott down to a new contract but talks have not progressed in recent times.
Alex Scott could make difficult transfer which goes against previous admission
Scott has plenty of admirers in England but a move to Chelsea or Arsenal would be particularly surprising as he has previously spoken about growing up as a Spurs supporter.
There are pictures of Scott in a retro Spurs shirt and he could not hide his delight to score the winning goal for Arsenal against Bournemouth back in April, revealing that his dad is also a Spurs fan.

After the win at the Emirates, Scott said: “Yes, I support Tottenham, though that doesn’t have much to do with today. But growing up as a kid, it was definitely a dream for me [to score against Arsenal].
“Bournemouth are my team at the minute but I was a Tottenham fan growing up, so as a kid growing up, I would have been really happy with that.
“My dad’s Tottenham, yes. A few of my friends were here today and they enjoyed the game as well. So, yes, it’s nice to have everyone here today too.”
Scott looks set to be handed extra minutes in England’s clash with Czechia on Tuesday before he returns to Bournemouth.
Ironically, his next game for Bournemouth against his potential next employers Chelsea in what could be a huge audition at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
