Chelsea failed to secure Champions League qualification after a torrid 2025/26 term, but Blues supporters can still enjoy European nights at Stamford Bridge, and take advantage of a solid deal.
Chelsea fans may still be reeling from the disappointment of 2025/26; however, Blues fans can still enjoy Champions League nights at Stamford Bridge… with Shakhtar Donetsk.
Chelsea will welcome the Champions League side to their ground, where FC Shakhtar will play four matches at Stamford Bridge – and Blues fans can get in through a little-known deal.

How can Chelsea fans watch Champions League nights at Stamford Bridge?
On Wednesday, the Blues’ stadium will host AEK Athens, not against Chelsea, but against Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk, who will call Stamford Bridge their home in Europe this term.
Chelsea’s ground will later welcome Portuguese and Turkish top-flight champions Sporting Lisbon and Fenerbahce in November, before hosting Real Madrid, and possible Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe, in late January.
Should FC Shakhtar progress to the Champions League knock-out rounds, the club will continue to host ‘home’ legs at Stamford Bridge.
Last campaign, the Ukrainian side finished 27th in the league phase, in a table of 36 sides. On the road, Shakhtar Donetsk will face Milan, Slovan and RB Leipzig; their Champions League campaign began with a 1-1 stalemate versus PSV in early September.
The Ukrainian Premier League champions have been unable to play at their ground, the Donbas Arena, since 2024, amid regional conflict. Chelsea struck the deal in August, after failing to secure any kind of European whatsoever in 2025/26, following a 10th-placed Premier League finish.
While Blues supporters will be unable to watch their beloved Chelsea light up the competition this term, they will be able to watch all four Stamford Bridge-hosted matches in-person in the Champions League, and take advantage of a little-known deal.

Chelsea announce £185 Champions League package deal for Shakhtar Donetsk matches
“Given Chelsea FC’s disappointing 2025/26 season and failure to qualify for European football, the club is pleased to provide FC Shakhtar with the opportunity to play in London – the United Kingdom’s capital – for their Champions League campaign,” read a club website statement from Chelsea.
“Chelsea Football Club at Stamford Bridge said: ‘FC Shakhtar have played in countries across Europe and we look forward to welcoming them to London for their Champions League campaign this year.
“’We will be working with the Shakhtar team closely over the coming weeks to ensure that matchdays run safely and smoothly for their team and supporters.’”
The Chelsea statement continued: “FC Shakhtar said: ‘Playing our Champions League home matches at Stamford Bridge is a special opportunity for Shakhtar. Stamford Bridge is one of the most famous stadiums in world football, with an incredible history and atmosphere.
“‘We are convinced that Shakhtar’s matches in London will provide unforgettable emotions for Ukrainian and English fans,’” it concluded, before revealing a Champions League package deal.
Should Chelsea fans believe in the words given by Shakhtar Donetsk, and wish to experience the “unforgettable emotions” promised, they can purchase a four-game deal for £185.
The package, available to Chelsea season ticket holders and members, will give buyers access to all four Stamford Bridge-hosted league phase matches in the Champions League.
