The summer transfer window closed in early September and for some Premier League players, they have fewer than 12 months remaining on their contracts and can leave for free in 2027.
Arsenal are seeking to retain their first top flight title for more than 20 years and will be hoping to have secured back-to-back successes by May.
With the January transfer window coming up, players who have deals which expire in the summer can already put the wheels in motion to join their next club if it is abroad by signing a pre-contract agreement.
As things stand, there are currently 79 players across the 20 Premier League clubs that could walk away for nothing at the end of next June, including the likes of Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk and Manchester United’s Luke Shaw.
The below list gives the players whose deals are currently due to run out next summer, as well as any known options that could extend the contracts, though any loan deals are not included.

When can Premier League players agree to a free transfer?
Premier League players are free to move to another club upon the expiry of their contracts at the end of June.
There have been occasions where clubs have paid to release a player a matter of weeks before their deals with their previous club ends in order to play them earlier – such as when Real Madrid paid a transfer fee to Liverpool for Trent Alexander-Arnold so he could feature for the Spanish giants at the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
When players in the Premier League enter the final six months of their contracts, they can enter into an international pre-contract agreement with another club from outside of England.
There can also be occasions where contractual options can prevent a player from becoming free, even when the published base terms ends in June 2027.
