Cyberpunk 2077 was already a peak gameplay experience, but it gets even better now that it’s somewhat revived a long-dead franchise.
Later this week, CD Projekt RED will return to Night City with a new update, centred around the newly released Cyberpunk: Edgerunners Season 2.
While we don’t know what new content will be added, we’re excited nonetheless, though not as excited as we are for Cyberpunk 2.
In the meantime, the best source of new Cyberpunk 2077 content, aside from CD Projekt Red itself, is NexusMods, and we’ve found a good one this week.
Cyberpunk 2077 crosses over with Titanfall in collab we didn’t know we needed
Titanfall BT-7274 (Quest and Companion) by whatmynickname and sdh0 is available on NexusMods right now, and it’s a must-play for fans of the Titanfall series.
As the name implies, it makes your Titanfall 2 companion BT-7274 an in-game NPC, and he’s a force to be reckoned with.
BT-7274 doesn’t join you right off the bat though. You’ll have to track him down through a new quest set in the Badlands.
Once you’ve found him, he can be summoned from the sky whenever you need some extra muscle. You can of course, pilot him yourself if you’d prefer.
It’s an impressive overhaul, but of course, like most of the mods we’ve been seeing nowadays, it comes with a catch. This has obviously been created with the help of AI tools. That’s not something we can get behind, unfortunately, so we won’t be using this mod ourselves, but for those who couldn’t care less, this looks like an explosive expansion worth trying for yourself.

What we know about Titanfall 3
Seeing BT-7274 again got us thinking about the immense disappointment the Titanfall series turned out to be.
That initial first release was unlike anything we’d seen before and the follow-up was pure magic. Respawn found a great balance between a heartfelt single-player campaign and a consistently fun multiplayer; sequels were all but inevitable.
Unfortunately, for whatever reason, we’ve not heard a peep about new Titanfall games since. The series somewhat lives on through APEX Legends, but it’s nowhere near the same thing.
Titanfall 3has still been rumoured for quite a while, however. EA will have likely heard the demand from fans, so perhaps one day it’ll finally be revived.
Until that day, the best fans are going to get are the spiritual successors. We’ve played a few ourselves, like Empulse.
If Respawn is unavailable, we’d be more than down to see the IP handed off to a new developer. As long as the spirit remains, some fresh innovation might be just what it needs for a revival.
