A calamitous error from Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford set in-form Bournemouth on course for a 2-0 Premier League victory at the Vitality Stadium.
The England international inexplicably gave away possession following a short goal-kick, allowing Justin Kluivert to set up Cherries forward Evanilson to score his fifth goal in six games in the 31st minute.
Substitute Amine Adli sealed Bournemouth’s third successive top-flight success – and sixth in all competitions – in added time to lift them a point above Leeds in the table.

The visitors had been the better team before falling behind but could not prevent their winless run stretching to five top-flight games.
Leeds striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin was denied a goal on his 50th appearance for the club after his 11th-minute finish was ruled out for a handball spotted by VAR.
Visiting boss Daniel Farke, who celebrated his 50th birthday on Friday, watched his side create little on the south coast, with his disappointing afternoon compounded by a first-half booking.
Bournemouth were looking to maintain their fine form after successive 3-0 victories over AC Milan, Manchester United and Aston Villa in three different competitions.
Ryan Christie replaced Lewis Cook in the only change to the Cherries team which started last weekend’s memorable league visit to Old Trafford, while Nico Elvedi and Daniel James came in for Brenden Aaronson and Jaka Bijol after Leeds’ goalless draw at Sunderland.
The West Yorkshire club made the brighter start and thought they had gone ahead when Calvert-Lewin appeared to have slotted in from close range following James Justin’s cross from the right.
However, the effort was ruled out on review as replays showed the ball rebounded into the net off the striker’s left arm, after Cherries goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic saved his initial effort.

Bournemouth struggled to find their rhythm before being gifted the opener.
After receiving a short goal-kick from defender Tarik Muharemovic, Trafford rashly played the ball straight to Kluivert, who unselfishly teed up Evanilson to slot into the unguarded net.
Trafford endured chants of “dodgy keeper” from the home fans, while Leeds manager Farke was later shown a yellow card for venting frustration after Elvedi was booked for a foul on Evanilson.
Leeds arrived on the south coast having drawn five of their opening eight top-flight fixtures this term.
Following a lack of cutting edge at the Stadium of Light last weekend, they showed little sign of levelling in the early stages of a largely uneventful second period.
Trafford kept out a Marcus Tavernier free-kick at the other end and Cherries winger Rayan lashed wide before Leeds full-back Justin directed a diving header just wide.
Leeds had snatched a 2-2 draw in this fixture last season thanks to a dramatic late equaliser.
But they headed back to West Yorkshire empty-handed this time as Bournemouth wrapped up victory in the final of four minutes of added time.
Adli started the move by dispossessing Sean Longstaff and, after eventually receiving the ball back from fellow replacement Junior Kroupi, dispatched his third goal in four matches into the bottom-left corner.
