Day two of IEM Beijing 2026 has come to an end, as four teams have already secured their place in the Playoffs of the event, going two for two in the upper bracket. But this means we’ve also said goodbye to four teams today, crashing out in China after two consecutive defeats.
MOUZ first through as four teams lock in Playoffs in China
PARIVISION won every half they played in a 2:0 win over Liquid, taking their own Ancient pick 13:7 and then Liquid’s Inferno 13:9 with relative ease. Evgenii “FL1T” Lebedev looked unstoppable with 36 kills and a 1.48 rating, while Dzhami “Jame” Ali (1.18) died just 14 times across the two maps. Keith “NAF” Markovic (1.04) was the only Liquid player to finish above a 1.00 rating, a indictment on their pretty odd inconsistency of late. But for PARIVISION, another spot in the Playoffs is a good step forward for the team, who seem to finally be settling with this iteration of the roster.
Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás was the driving force behind MOUZ’s 2:0 win over BetBoom in Group B, finishing 38:17 and a 1.46 rating across the series. MOUZ cruised to a 13:6 win on BetBoom’s Ancient pick, but their own Mirage pick was far tighter, finishing level at 12:12 in regulation before MOUZ took overtime 4:2 to win it 16:14. Aleksandr “zorte” Zagodyrenko struggled badly with a 0.63 rating, a departure from his recent run of hot form. MOUZ will be pleased to have avoided any awkwardness in getting to the Playoffs, while BetBoom can strike this one down as a particularly tough draw before going again in the lower bracket.
Less than a week after crashing out of PGL Masters Bucharest, The MongolZ are into the Playoffs in Beijing after a 2:0 win over HEROIC, requiring double OT to get there. Their own Inferno pick was level at 6:6 at the half before The MongolZ won seven of the eight rounds after the break to take it 13:7. HEROIC’s Nuke pick was a different story. It finished 12:12 in regulation and 15:15 after the first overtime, before The MongolZ finally closed it out 19:17. Anarbileg “cobrazera” Uuganbayar was the star of the show with a 1.30 rating, while IGL Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin (1.15) did all he could for HEROIC. His efforts were not enough, but I’ve definitely liked what I’ve seen from HEROIC so far.
FURIA’s series winning run has been extended to seven. Still fresh off their PGL Masters Bucharest triumph, they continued their run by edging out NAVI 2:1 in Group A. The first two maps required overtime to find a winner. NAVI won all four overtime rounds on their own Ancient pick to take it 16:12, before FURIA recovered from 3:9 down at the half on Nuke and did exactly the same to force a decider. FURIA then took an 8:4 lead into the half on Cache and held on to win 13:10. Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato (1.32) was the standout performer for the victors, while Valeriy “b1t” Vakhovskiy (1.28) and Ihor “w0nderful” Zhdanov (1.26) led the way for NAVI in defeat. It’s another Playoffs spot for FURIA, who hold out hope that they can make it three consecutive trophy wins.
Falcons fight on as FaZe and more eliminated

G2’s miserable run of form shows no sign of ending. Having crashed out of Bucharest at 0:3, they’re out of IEM Beijing too after a 2:1 loss to Aurora, their sixth straight series defeat – another winless showing. G2 did at least take it the distance this time. After Aurora won their Nuke pick 13:9, G2 hit back on Inferno by the same scoreline. A back-and-forth Dust2 decider was then dragged to OT by Nemanja “huNter-” Kovač’s ace in the final round of regulation. Aurora won it 4:1 to take the map 16:13, with Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın (1.30) stepping up once again to continue his Top 20 argument. It was another terrible day for under-fire AWPer Artem “r1nkle” Moroz, whose 0.66 rating did very little to persuade those who think he should be kicked from the team, even before Singapore.
TYLOO, led by Yi “JamYoung” Yang (1.41) and Su “Zero” Jingshen (1.39) firing on all cylinders, have staved off elimination from IEM Beijing 2026 against 9z in front of a home crowd in China. TYLOO cruised to a 13:5 win on Inferno and looked set for an equally comfortable finish on Cache when they led 10:2 at the half, only for 9z to win ten of the 12 rounds after the break to force overtime. TYLOO steadied themselves to take overtime 4:1 and the map 16:13. Playoffs still feel out of reach for a struggling TYLOO, but at least they’ve given the fans something to cheer for along the way. Meanwhile, this series condemns 9z to a disastrous seven series loss streak, and they desperately need to find some wins from somewhere or risk finding themselves out of Tier 1 invite range heading into next year.
FaZe are also heading home after Falcons beat them 2:1. Falcons made a statement on FaZe’s own Ancient pick, winning it 13:3 after a 10:2 first half. FaZe responded by taking Falcons’ Anubis pick 13:10, but the Mirage decider got away from them after a 6:6 half, as Falcons won seven of the eight rounds after the break to close it out 13:7. Maksim “kyousuke” Lukin was the player of the series with 58 kills and a 1.58 rating, his raw firepower enough to push past FaZe as Finn “karrigan” Andersen faced off against his former team for the first time. It was another tough day at the office for FaZe IGL Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, who could only muster a 0.64 rating here while being outcalled by his old in-game leader.
B8 stayed alive with a 2:1 win over Legacy, despite a superb 57-kill individual display from Santino “try” Rigal. B8 took an early lead with their own Dust2 pick 13:11, winning the final round after try’s 1v4 clutch in round 23 had kept Legacy in it. Legacy hit back with a 13:6 win on Cache, but a 3:9 first half on Mirage left them with too much to do, and B8 closed out the series 13:9. Since Andrei “arT” Piovezan’s return from illness, Legacy haven’t looked the same. It’s certainly not his fault, but it’s such a shame given how excellent Legacy have looked for so long. Still, it’s nice to see a young team like B8 bounce back with a win after just recently missing out on a Major invite.
