The name of Cardi B‘s son has been made public on his first birthday.
The US rapper, 34, welcomed the child, her fourth, last year with NFL player Stefon Diggs, but had kept his name private until now.
Cardi – real name Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar – marked her son turning one by posting a series of photos of him, and sharing his name publicly for the first time.
She wrote: “Happy first birthday to Grey Marsean Diggs! It’s only been one year since meeting you but it feels like I’ve had you at my side forever.
“I carried you through one of the most uncertain high-pressured times of my life but having you inside of me through it all gave me a extra strength. I was growing you inside of me and at the same time you were giving me life!
“You gave a new meaning to what a Grey day feels like. You light up my life and every room with your smile your laugh and your precious spirit.”
Cardi also has three children with her estranged husband, rapper Offset.
They are daughters Kulture, eight, and Blossom, two, as well as son Wave, five.
The rapper confirmed that she was expecting her fourth child in September last year in an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings.
“I’m excited. I’m happy,” she told the television host. “I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong. I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby, me and my man, we’re very supportive of each other.”
Cardi said she believed that she and Diggs, 32, were in similar positions because they were both ambitious and were some of “the greatest” in their respective fields.

She also shared the news on Instagram in the caption of a video where she lip-synced the song “Hello” from her album Am I The Drama?, which was released in September 2025.
“My life has always been a combination of different chapters and different seasons,” she wrote at the time. “My last chapter was the beginning of a new season. Starting over is never easy but it’s been so worth it!
“I brought new music and a new album to the world! A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”
In December last year, Cardi responded to rumours that her relationship with the NFL player had broken down months after welcoming their son.
The lengthy video was shared on X, and came after reports they appeared to spend Christmas Day separately.
In it, she told fans to “calm down”.
“You’ve been dragging me for three or four days, you’ve been a little bit too mean,” she said. “I can’t go back in time, I already had a baby. You want me to put my baby back? What do you want me to do, you want me to leave my man?”
She continued: “I have so much work to do when January starts that is stressing me out, I have to rehearse for 10-12 hours a day for tour. I need my support system, my fans, to love me. I want good for you. Wish me the same thing.”
Meanwhile on his Instagram stories, Diggs posted that he was spending time with his other children, and hinted that the couple were celebrating the holidays separately.
