UFC Vegas 124 went down last night (Sat., Nov. 7, 2026) inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, which saw Johnny Walker score an upset win over Waldo Cortes-Acosta, knocking him out in the third round (see it again here). In the co-main event, Tatiana Saurez defeated Virna Jandiroba in a pivotal women’s strawweight affair.

Biggest Winner: Johnny Walker

Walker continues his onslaught on the 265-pound division after securing his second straight stoppage win since deciding to move up from light heavyweight. By defeating the No. 8 ranked fighter in the division in Cortes-Acosta, Walker can expect to crash the Top 10 in just two fights, which will put him in a great position to invade the Top 5 and make a case for a shot at the title with a few more wins. Because let’s face it, the heavyweight division could use as many stars and legit title contenders that it can muster, so Walker is more than proving he can get into the mix right away. He has truly found his weight class — though he could tighten up his offensive attack a bit more — and now we will be waiting on the edge of our collective seats to see who the promotion pairs him up against next.

Runners Up: Elijah Smith and Tatiana Suarez

Smith secured the biggest win of his UFC career thus far by becoming the first man to stop Davey Grant via strikes, ending the fight in just 90 seconds (see it here). That is now nine straight wins for “Swift,” four inside the Octagon, giving him even more confidence as he progressive in his UFC career. To make his night a bit sweeter he walked away with a $100,000 post-fight bonus award. As for Suarez, she continues her march toward another title fight after dominating Jandiroba en route to a unanimous decision win. Suarez came up short in her first bid to win the 115-pound title against Zhang Weili, but she has since racked up three straight wins and taking out the No. 2 ranked fighter in the weight class is huge for her goal of once again taking part in a title fight, which could very well be next depending on which division the aforementioned Zhang Weili decides to compete in next.

Biggest Losers: Waldo Cortes-Acosta and Priscila Cachoeira

Things went from bad to worse for Cortes-Acosta after getting stopped by Walker, as he has now lost three straight after starting off his UFC career with a 10-2 run. To make matters worse, this is the first time “Salsa Boy” has been stopped in any fight. His skid will be more than enough to bounce him from the Top 10, and his aspirations of fighting for the title drifts further and further away. He now has to go back to the drawing board to right his ship before he digs himself a hole so deep that he can’t climb out of it. As for Cachoeira, it’s safe to say we may have seen the last of her inside the Octagon after suffering her fourth straight loss thanks to Nina Milosevic jiu-jitsu skills (see it here). During her three-fight skid she has been stopped twice, which isn’t a good look. She drops to 1-6 in her last seven fights and to 5-10 overall inside the Octagon, which simply isn’t good enough to justify keeping spot on the bloated roster.
