Ньюкасл клуб нь Ноттингем Форестоос шведийн олон улсын довтлогч Антони Элангаг 55 сая фунт стерлингээр элсүүлсэнээ баталгаажууллаа. 23 настай Эланга нь өнгөрсөн улиралд Премьер лигт тавдугаар байр эзэлсэн Ньюкасл клубын Аваргуудын лигийн тэмцээнд оролцох багт хүч нэмлээ.
Эланга 2024-2025 оны улиралд Нуну Эспирито Санто удирдлага дор Форестт 6 гоол, 11 оновчтой дамжуулалт амжилттай гүйцэтгэж, багтаа ихээхэн хувь нэмэр оруулсан юм. Эланга Ньюкаслд нэгдэх болсондоо баяртай байгаагаа илэрхийлж, “Би энэ багийн төлөө тууштай тэмцэж, хөлбөмбөгт хайртай үнэнч хөгжөөн дэмжигчдийнхээ төлөө бүхнээ зориулахад бэлэн байна. Ноттингем Форестт өнгөрөөсөн хоёр жил үнэхээр гайхалтай байсан ч, өдгөө энд ирсэндээ үнэхээр баяртай байна” гэжээ.
Эланга 2023 онд Манчестер Юнайтедээс Ноттингем Форестт 15 сая фунтээр элсэж, таван жилийн гэрээ байгуулж байсан. Тэрээр Юнайтедын академид 12 насандаа элсэж, Улаан чөтгөрүүдийн төлөө 55 удаа тоглосон түүхтэй. Ноттингем Форест Элангаг багтаа хадгалахын төлөө чармайж байсан боловч эцэст нь Ньюкаслын санал хүлээн зөвшөөрсөн байна.

The 23-year-old Swedish international becomes the latest addition to Eddie Howe’s squad as the Magpies gear up for their Champions League campaign, having secured a fifth-place finish in the Premier League last season.
Elanga enjoyed an impressive 2024-25 season under Nuno Espirito Santo at Forest, registering six goals and 11 assists across all competitions.
His arrival is expected to strengthen Newcastle’s attacking depth ahead of a busy schedule both domestically and in Europe.
“I’m delighted to welcome Anthony to Newcastle United,” head coach Eddie Howe told the club’s official website.
“He has been a key target for us so I’m delighted to secure him at this early part of pre-season. He is an exciting talent with attributes that make him a unique attacking threat. His pace, energy and ability to create and score goals will strengthen us and complement the way we want to play.”
Elanga, who impressed during his two years at Forest, also expressed his excitement at joining the Magpies.
“I’m ready to put on this black and white top to really fight for this team and give everything for the passionate fanbase that lives and breathes football.
“I had an amazing two years at Nottingham Forest, they really helped me to become the player I am today, but I’m really happy to be here now.
“The club won a trophy last season and are building something unique, something special that I really want to be part of.
“I really want to buy into the culture, into the DNA of this club. I’m really happy to be here and I can’t wait to get started.”
Elanga signed for Forest in 2023 from Manchester United for a reported fee of £15 million, penning a five-year deal.
He originally joined United’s academy at age 12 and made 55 senior appearances for the Red Devils before his move to the City Ground.
While Forest had hoped to retain the 23-year-old, they ultimately accepted Newcastle’s offer.
