The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Miranda Hope is embarking on a new career.
Hope, 28, is the first member of MomTok to officially release music. On Friday, the reality star dropped her debut country single, “FU4THAT,” marking the beginning of her country music career.
“You should be committed for your insanity, the only thing you were committed to was infidelity,” are some of the song’s lyrics. “I’m better and I know it, but you’re the one to blame. I ain’t got to sugarcoat it today. Fuck you for that.” (Listen to “FU4THAT” here.)
The song centers on reclaiming your power, choosing yourself and moving forward without looking back. In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hope spoke about what inspired the track.
“It was written with the intention of men that have done me dirty. Obviously there’s a few pointed lines toward my ex-husband.” She was married to Chase McWhorter for seven years until the pair announced their divorce in 2024. They share two children.
She also hinted to ET that audiences may see the behind-the-scenes recording process in season six of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.
However, production on season five of the series, which follows a group of Mormon mom influencers, was temporarily halted in March amid controversy surrounding fellow MomTok member Taylor Frankie Paul and resumed the following month, though no release date has been announced. Hope joined the show in season two.
In a statement previously shared withThe Hollywood Reporter at the time of the song’s announcement, Hope said: “Stepping into music feels like the natural next chapter for me. I’ve spent the last few years building a platform through television and social media, but music has always been where I felt most connected to myself. This release represents a new challenge, a new audience and an opportunity to share a different side of who I am.”
