Lewis Hamilton has done plenty of impressive things during his Formula 1 Ferrari career, but perhaps none quite as remarkable as apparently sitting on a Monaco balcony, chilling for eight straight hours following coming second in the Grand Prix.
Ferrari celebrated the moment in the most unexpected way by releasing a surreal eight-hour ambience video featuring its newest star.
The cleverly edited clip made it look as though Hamilton spent an entire day relaxing while Monaco buzzed away around him.
It might just be one of the funniest post-race victory videos Formula 1 fans have ever seen.
Ferrari released an eight-hour video of Lewis Hamilton chilling out
Most grand prix videos are packed with champagne celebrations and emotional radio messages, but Ferrari decided to do something completely different.
The team uploaded what looked like an eight-hour relaxation video featuring Lewis Hamilton casually sitting on a balcony overlooking Monaco and doomscrolling.
With the Mediterranean sparkling in the background, luxury yachts drifted through the harbor, supercars rolled along the streets below, and the unmistakable sounds of Monaco carried on as normal.
Meanwhile, Hamilton barely moved, only checking his phone every now and then.

The whole thing was edited to resemble the sort of ultra-long ambience videos people leave playing while they work, study, or fall asleep, except instead of a crackling fireplace or rainy cabin, viewers got eight hours of a seven-time world champion quietly enjoying one of the world’s most glamorous views.
It’s become a bit of a meme.

The truth about Lewis Hamilton’s eight-hour video
Of course, Hamilton wasn’t actually glued to the same chair for eight hours.
The footage was actually 16 minutes long and cleverly looped and edited to make it appear as though he spent the entire day peacefully watching Monaco go by after adding a silver medal to his career.
As cars and people passed beneath the balcony, along with a steady stream of luxury yachts in the harbor, Hamilton sat, stood up, leaned forward, and scrolled on his phone, creating a strangely hypnotic viewing experience.

Fans absolutely loved the bizarre concept in the YouTube comments.
One person joked: “All my life dreamed about Hamilton sitting 8 hours and looking nowhere. Thank you Ferrari!”
Another added: “Never in my life imagine watching a GOAT chillin in 4K for 8 hours straight.”
The result is oddly relaxing, surprisingly funny, and somehow very watchable despite almost nothing happening.
After all, if you’ve just come second in one of Formula 1’s most iconic races, why not spend the rest of the day sitting on a balcony in Monaco pretending the world can wait?
Ferrari could have posted a highlight reel, but instead, it gave fans eight hours of Lewis Hamilton embracing the art of doing absolutely nothing, and somehow his chinchillin’ is even better.
