Manchester United have agreed a £50million move for midfielder Andrey Santos from rivals Chelsea, according to multiple sources.
The 23-year-old will undergo a medical at Old Trafford after a £48m package was agreed between the two Premier League clubs, with a further £2m in add-ons and Chelsea securing a 10% sell-on clause.
Santos joined Chelsea from Vasco de Gama in 2023 and featuered in 43 games for the Blues last season, scoring three goals and providing four assists. He has also spent time on loan at Nottingham Forest and Strasbourg.
He is set to join fellow Brazilian Ederson at United, with the Atalanta midfielder set to complete a £35m move as the Red Devils look to address their central midfield issues.
Casemiro’s departure has left a gap to fill in the centre of the park, with Manuel Ugarte’s set to miss an extended period after injury at the World Cup with Uruguay.
Chelsea confirm Quenda signing
Chelsea’s wheeling and dealing looks to be showing no signs of letting up this summer after the Blues announced the £40m signing of Sporting winger Geovany Quenda.
The 19-year-old has put pen to paper on an eight-year deal, becoming the second signing under new manager Xabi Alonso, following the £42m arrival of Atalanta full-back Marco Palestra.
Quenda reportedly agreed to join the West Londoners as far back as March 2025, when now Manchester City boss Enzo Maresca was still in charge.
The Portugal Under-21 international made 86 appearances for Sporting, scoring nine goals and providing 17 assists.
He is expected to go straight into Chelsea’s first-team plans, with the teenager capable of playing on the wing, attacking midfield and wing-back.

“Chelseais a great team and I am excited to play here at Stamford Bridge. The club has shown faith in players like me and I am proud to be here, proud to be part of this club.
