Sedriques Dumas has been removed from the UFC roster after nine fights with the promotion.
It’s unclear if Dumas was out of contract or released from the organization, but he’s been removed from the roster effective immediately. He last fought in the UFC back in April when he suffered a submission loss to Jackson McVey, which was his second defeat in a row overall.
Dumas is now free to compete for any other promotion, although the UFC could also potentially re-sign him at some point in the future.
Dumas competed in the UFC three times over the past year following his arrest in April 2025 on a multitude of charges including home invasion, battery, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
The 30-year-old fighter finally settled that court case in June after he was sentenced in Escambia County, Fla.
According to online court records, prosecutors ultimately dropped three out of the five charges pending against Dumas and he plead no-contest to two charges — possession of a weapon or ammo by a convicted Florida felon and possession of marijuana over 20 grams.
The judge ordered that Dumas serve six months of community control — which is effectively house arrest in Florida — with each count running concurrently. He also must serve 48 months of probation following his community control with each charge running concurrently.
Dumas also has to complete 50 hours of community service as part of his sentence, and he must obtain a substance abuse evaluation while following through with recommended treatment. Dumas also has to compete anger management counseling while also seeking or maintaining full-time employment during his sentence.
He also cannot possess any weapons or firearms in addition to paying fees related to his case.
The sentence was handed down on June 24 and since then Dumas has filed a motion to modify his probation and community control with a request made on July 10. The court has not ruled on his motion yet.
