A24 has dropped a brand-new trailer for its upcoming action-horror film, Onslaught. Starring Adria Arjona and Dan Stevens, the movie’s new trailer unpacks explosive action, brutal fights, and rogue super soldiers who became unstoppable killers. It also hints at the film’s connection to Adam Wingard’s 2014 cult thriller The Guest.

The movie’s short yet cryptic synopsis reads, “When a rogue squad of genetically engineered super soldiers break loose in the desert, a badass Army sniper must unleash hell to protect her young daughter.”

The trailer opens with Celeste (Adria Arjona) and her daughter stopping at a gas station to grab snacks. The mother lets the girl stay in the car, saying, “Don’t talk to strangers.” While she looks out the window, she notices three terrifying rogue figures in the dark, wearing military uniforms and carrying guns.
The trailer then transitions to reveal Dan Stevens as a secret scientist alongside Michael Biehn, overseeing three restrained test soldiers in an underground experimental facility. The rogue trio of genetically enhanced killers includes Cry Baby, a ruthless operative shown executing civilians without hesitation; Cockroach, a near-indestructible force who reportedly survived 48 gunshot wounds; and Butcher, a seasoned former elite military operative.
After breaking free from the secret military facility, the three soldiers unleash chaos across the desert, killing everyone who comes in their way. Celeste, a former Army sniper living in a trailer park with her daughter, has to stop them before they kill others and her daughter using her limited arsenal.
The trailer showcases explosive gunfights, brutal combat, and relentless action as she takes on the deadly trio who are nearly impossible to kill, making the movie even more desperate to watch.
After making Godzilla vs. King Kong and You’re Next, director Adam Wingard reunites with the writer Simon Barrett to direct Onslaught. The film’s supporting cast includes Eric Wareheim, Reginald VelJohnson, Michael Biehn, Alex Pereira, Drew Starkey, and Rebecca Hall.
Onslaught hits theaters worldwide and IMAX on September 4, 2026.
