Жагсаалтын нэгдүгээрт 53 хувийн үнэлгээтэй The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) бичигдсэн бол удаах байруудад Spider-Man 3 (2007) 59 хувь, The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) 66 хувийн үнэлгээтэйгээр тус тус оржээ.

Жагсаалтын дөрөвдүгээрт 69 хувийн үнэлгээтэй шинэ кино Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) бичигдэв. Шүүмжлэгчид уг бүтээлийг гудамжны түвшний түүх өгүүлснээрээ онцлог ч, хэт олон дэд сэдэвтэй, эмх цэгцгүй хэмнэлтэй гэж үзжээ.

Тавдугаар байрт мөн 69 хувийн үнэлгээтэй Marvel Studios-ийн Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) орсон байна. Тус киног CGI эффектэд хэт найдсан, Питер Паркерийн дүрийг Тони Старкийн туслах мэтээр дүрсэлсэн нь комик номын эх сурвалжаас хэтэрсэн гэж шүүмжилжээ.

We’ve ranked the five lowest-rated Spider-Man movies that Sony Pictures has ever produced. The rankings are based on each film’s Metascore on Metacritic. This comes ahead of the July 31 theatrical debut of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is also included on this list.

Worst Spider-Man movies ranked by Metacritic scores

5) Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) – 69%

In the fifth spot is Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Far From Home, which garnered a 69% Metascore on Metacritic. The sequel brought Peter Parker’s journey to Europe, where he deals with the aftermath of Iron Man’s death in Avengers: Endgame. Although its rating is still considered generally favorable, the 2019 film is definitely the least-favorite entry in Holland and Jon Watts’ Home trilogy. Some critics felt that the movie was formulaic and unessential due to its low-stakes story. It was also criticized for its heavy reliance on CGI. Even though many fans loved the mentor-mentee relationship between Iron Man and Spider-Man, some didn’t appreciate how the movie depicted Spider-Man as Tony Stark’s apprentice, which they believed isn’t truthful to the hero’s comic-book identity.

4) Spider-Man: Brand New Day (2026) – 69%

Number four goes to the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day movie. So far, it has received a 69% Metascore on Metacritic, based on 44 critic reviews. Although many critics have been praising the new film for its more grounded street-level story and incredible action sequences, others were not particularly fond of its runtime and pacing. They felt that the movie was overstuffed with subplots, which ended up underutilizing some of the new characters and story elements introduced.

3) The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) – 66%

Sony Pictures’ 2012 reboot The Amazing Spider-Man takes the third spot with a 66% Metascore on Metacritic. Even though fans loved Andrew Garfield’s version of the iconic Marvel hero, the Academy Award nominee’s first Spider-Man movie was met with mixed reception. Many critics weren’t impressed with the creative team for choosing to retell the hero’s same origin story again. Some also believed that the film had tonal inconsistencies because it tried to adopt the gritty tone of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight trilogy while also trying to add humor to its action scenes.

2) Spider-Man 3 (2007) – 59%

Claiming the second spot is Sam Raimi’s 2007 movie Spider-Man 3, which introduced Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man to Venom. The final installment of Raimi’s superhero franchise was inarguably its most polarizing entry. It has a 59% Metascore on Metacritic, which served as the first time that a Spider-Man film didn’t receive generally favorable reviews. Many felt that the film’s plot was too messy and bloated, especially with three main villains. Critics and fans were also initially unimpressed with Peter Parker’s “emo” phase. This part of the plot produced many cringe-inducing moments, which eventually became popular memes.

1) The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) – 53%

The lowest-rated movie of the entire Spider-Man film franchise is 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It received a 53% Metascore on Metacritic, based on 40 critic reviews. Andrew Garfield’s sequel also faced the same criticisms as Spider-Man 3, particularly with the creative team’s decision to introduce three popular villains into one movie. Even though it featured one of the most memorable and heartbreaking Spider-Man moments ever, critics and fans were disappointed by its extreme tonal shift. Many felt that the studio prioritized setting up its future movies more rather than coming up with a cohesive plot.
