A $30M Florida mansion is making waves after real estate content creator Ben Mallah gave viewers a look inside one of the most over-the-top beachfront homes imaginable.
Hidden passageways, a private bowling alley, a guest house, and even a lazy river are just some of the features packed into the enormous property.
As he explored every corner of the estate, Mallah also revealed what it actually costs to own a home of this size.
The monthly figure is enough to make anyone do a double-take.
The mansion is a party-lover’s dream estate
Sitting right on the beachfront, this $30M Florida mansion stretches across roughly 20,000 square feet indoors, with another 20,000 square feet of outdoor living space.
According to Mallah, the asking price of $30 million has already been reduced.
In fact, he claimed that buying the giant mansion would cost buyers about $10 million less than it would cost to build a similar estate today.
This is even before factoring in the value of the land, which is pretty wild.
As Mallah took viewers on a tour of the place, it was easy to see why he calls it an ‘entertainment palace’.
Almost every corner of the home is designed for hosting.
There’s a gaming room that comes with a custom-made pool table made from an actual Indy 500 pace car.
And you’re a film buff, you’ll enjoy the fully-decked out movie theatre.
As he continued on the seemingly endless house tour, it became very apparent that living here would mean you wouldn’t need a resort holiday anytime soon.
After all, the place comes equipped with a lazy river, sprawling pool, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, and a huge beachfront patio built for everything from family gatherings to large-scale events.
The surprises keep coming throughout the tour.
There’s a two-storey office inspired by a luxury New York workspace, and it looks like something out of Hogwarts.
A climate-controlled wine cellar…
And even a separate guest house complete with its own gym, spa, and private living quarters.
The master suite is equally extravagant, featuring dual bathrooms, massive walk-in wardrobes, and a balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
But what does it cost to actually live in a place like this?
This $30M Florida mansion comes with significant running costs
After showing off the home’s endless list of features, Mallah turned his attention to the numbers behind owning a luxury property of this scale.
Using a purchase price of $30 million and assuming an 80 percent jumbo mortgage, he estimates a buyer would borrow around $24 million.
At an interest rate of roughly 6.25 percent, that works out to approximately $125,000 per month in interest payments alone.
He then adds an estimated $25,000 per month for property taxes, around $6,000 for insurance, and another $5,000 to cover utilities, pool maintenance, and other day-to-day running costs.
Altogether, Mallah estimated the home would cost around $161,000 every month to own, before everyday living expenses are even considered.
So there you have it: if you’re shopping for luxury beachfront homes, just remember you have to pay the equivalent of a supercar just to keep it running on a monthly basis.
