This man bought the ‘world’s lowest-mileage’ Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 supercar, which was 20 years old, but so untouched that it still had its original tires on.
YouTuber MrJWW covered the car on his channel, JWW Uncut, as he went to buy the supercar.
At the time of the video, the Italian supercar was 20 years old, but was more like a time capsule than just another supercar with less than 300 miles on the clock.
The fact that it still had the famous ‘new car smell’ showed just how immaculate this supercar was.
What was the condition of the Murciélago?
“This thing hasn’t even done a tank of fuel,” Mr JWW said when he had a look inside the Murciélago.
That is an indicator of how new it is.
“You know that 225 miles it’s done? They’ve all been on the original 2006 tires,” he added after looking around the car.
Think of this Lamborghini as new-old stock. It left the factory in 2006, but was practically as good as new.
As standard, the LP640 had an automatic transmission.
But in a move that might not appeal to enthusiasts, the YouTuber planned to manual swap the car at some point.
What was the supercar like to drive?
Getting a chance to drive the supercar showed off just what it would be like to live with daily.
First of all, the rear of the car was much wider than the front.
That made maneuvering the Murciélago quite tricky, given it didn’t have a great turning circle as it is.
The beeping electronics were also a slight annoyance for the YouTuber.
But the condition of the car alone was enough to convince him to purchase it.
He offered some context as to how much these particular examples of the Murciélago could sell for.
Manual examples in particular were incredibly rare, so it was not unheard of for them to sell for more than $1 million.

Why the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640 is such a special car
Lamborghini first introduced the LP640 in March 2006.
Launched at that year’s Geneva Motor Show, the name indicated the extra power and performance that the supercar now had.
The displacement of its 6.2-liter V12 engine was upped to 6.5 liters, and power increased to 631hp from the standard 573hp.
Lamborghini also gave the car a facelift, with a new front and rear fascia and asymmetrical side air intakes.
A new single-outlet exhaust was also incorporated into the rear diffuser for an even cooler look.
The Murciélago LP640 wasn’t exactly an economical car, though.
In fact, in the manual version you’d be lucky to get 8MPG out of the V12 engine.
But you don’t buy a car as cool as the Lamborghini Murciélago for economy runs.
