Alex Hirschi, aka Supercar Blondie, got an up-close and personal look at the $1.9 million 1-of-150 Aston Martin Valen.
Monterey Car Week is the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with some of the awesome car releases on the horizon.
Supercar Blondie is there to get the scoop on the newest releases, and that includes the stunning Aston Martin Valen.
This car is as powerful as it easy on the eyes – here’s what you need to know.
Monterey Car Week offers up the best that the automotive world has to offer
The Crème de la crème of car events is undoubtedly the Monterey Car Week.
Hosted every August around the Monterey Peninsula in California, it offers up everything a car enthusiast could ever dream of.
Alongside auctions, races, and rallies, there’s plenty of new cars for fans to feast their eyes on.
This year, we’ve already had some real gems, including the Bugatti Destrier and a trio of DB12 S cars inspired by Le Mans racers.
But now it’s time for the $1.9 million 1-of-150 Aston Martin Valen, which Alex got to take a look at.
The Aston Martin Valen is a very special car
This car takes its name from the Latin word ‘Valens’, which means strong and powerful.
And what a fitting origin it is.
You see, Aston Martin’s newest release isn’t just the most powerful front-engine car to come from the manufacturer – it’s the most powerful front-engine car in the world.
Capable of 850hp through a twin-turbo V12, it certainly packs a punch.
Around the car’s body are features to serve as air outtakes.

Nowhere is that more apparent than on the side of the Valen, where ‘vortex generators’ sit along the bottom.
“They look freaking cool, they’ve got a great name, what they’re doing is dispersing the air here around the tire, working on that downforce,” Hirschi explained.
“You’ll also notice that part of the rear diffuser is missing here from the back tire, just to disperse air away from the tire and really put the car on the ground.”
Inside and out, the Aston Martin Valen is a stunning car
The car’s coloring is nothing short of mesmerizing.
Rather than being just one block color, the Valen is a gradient, starting off darkish blue at the tip and turning red and orange further along the body.

“This is called Andromeda Red,” Hirschi explained.
“What is really cool, you can come to [Aston Martin] with any color – maybe you like the color of your nails, the color of your cap – and they’ll make you a paint with all those colors. How crazy is that?”
Things are just as beautiful on the inside.
“Look at that pop of color!” Hirschi exclaimed, as she opened the door.

If you liked the orange on the exterior, you’re in for a treat as continues inwards.
“Aston Martin wants to go with more color in the future,” Hirschi explained.
“Their customers want more color and more options, so this is them saying ‘Here you go!’, and I like it. It’s very very cool.”

But the car is not just a pretty picture – its design also offers up a formidable look too.
“Look how aggressive this is, it has a huge front splitter,” Hirschi said, kneeling down beside the Valen’s front.
“The headlights are so aggressive, they’re really slanting down towards the road.”
