Paramount+ will debut Season 2 of Average Joe on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. Viewers get the first two episodes immediately, with the remaining six arriving weekly. The sophomore, 8-episode run picks up right where Season 1 left off. Joe Washington, portrayed by Deon Cole, tries to move on, but a new threat to his family sends him and his friends fleeing Pittsburgh for the chaos abroad. Another unmissable release on Paramount+ this week is The Harvest. Dropping on August 22, the 2013 psychological horror thriller, also titled Can’t Come Out to Play, follows Maryann, an orphan who becomes friends with Andy, a bedridden and isolated boy. As their bond grows, she uncovers a chilling medical conspiracy and the dark secrets his unstable doctor mother has been hiding.

Another title dropping on Paramount+ this week is The Cured, which premieres on August 23. The 2017 post-apocalyptic horror drama follows a world where a cure is found for a virus that turns people into cannibals. The Cured focuses on the survivors as they deal with deep social stigma and traumatic memories. Written and directed by David Freyne, the film uses its premise to reflect real-world prejudice and the tensions that follow a conflict.
