Zack Snyder is known for directing movies like Justice League, 300, and Man of Steel. In addition to directing, the filmmaker has showcased to fans how he creates thousands of storyboards and concept drawings. His artwork also helps shape his movies’ graphic-novel appearance.
However, Snyder recently showed off another creative skill. Recently, in a video he shared a video on Instagram, Snyder showed a clay stone weighing exactly 106 grams. He then took it to the Arroyo Seco for some stone-skipping.
He wrote, “Made a 106g skipping stone out of clay, took it down to a little casting pond in the Arroyo Seco… and skipped it clean across. Back to the studio, I think I need a bigger pond.”
The post quickly caught fans’ attention. Some fans started looking for possible clues in the video. The stone was marked with the number 106. His use of “casting pond” also caught attention. The phrase led fans to speculate about casting for his next project. The mention of a “bigger pond” added even more speculation.
Snyder’s wife Deborah Snyder also commented on the post. She recalled an earlier stone-skipping memory involving her husband. “This reminds me of the first time I saw you skipping stones in New Zealand…the day I fell in love with you.”
