Shortly after Luís “MIRAA” Mira of HLTV published an article detailing the mismanagement of Passion UA, coach Tiaan “T.c” Coertzen clarified on social media that he was no longer tied to the organization. Though no official announcement had been made for his release, T.c revealed that he is “no longer contracted to Passion UA and [has] not been since June.”
In the same post, T.c added that he is “currently a free agent and open to opportunities.”
T.c was a part of Passion UA for over a year, joining when the lineup was still fully Ukrainian. Four months after he Passion UA, the Ukrainian organization acquired Complexity’s core, reuniting T.c with his former NA teammates.
Though the Complexity core had been threatening in the past, the team was unable to break into the tier-one space during their time on Passion UA. They struggled with several last-place exits at tier-one events, though they found moderate success in some local LAN circuits like DraculaN and Urban Riga. The highlight was nearly reaching the playoffs of the StarLadder Budapest Major in 2025, exiting Stage 3 just one series short.
After about six months with that core, the team entered a new international era with JT and Nicholas “nicx” Lee staying while Michael “Grim” Wince and Håkon “hallzerk” Fjærli were replaced by Azbayar “Senzu” Munkhbold and Santino “try” Rigal. Results did not improve as the team continued to oscillate between fine performances at small LANs and quick exits at tier-one events. Following a few months of rocky results, the team slowly dissolved, leaving T.c as the only one without a new home.
Though many thought he might join Liquid alongside his countryman and long-time IGL Johnny “JT” Theodosiou, it seems their nearly decade together has truly come to an end. Despite that, T.c’s experience at many levels of play and past willingness to work in multiple continents should make him an attractive piece for many teams going forward.
