Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne’s iconic R-rated comedies are finding a new streaming home. Neighbors and Neighbors 2 are both coming to Netflix next month. Fans can revisit the hilarious neighborhood rivalry on the streaming giant soon.
Neighbors and Neighbors 2 arrive on Netflix next month
According to What’s on Netflix, both movies arrive September 1, 2026. Neighbors originally released in March 2014 and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising followed in May 2016. Nicholas Stoller directed both movies in the franchise.
The first movie was written by Andrew J. Cohen and Brendan O’Brien. The sequel had a larger group of writers involved. Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne star as Mac Radner and Kelly Radner. Zac Efron plays fraternity leader Teddy Sanders. Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse also appear.
Neighbors’ story follows a young family seeking peaceful neighborhood life. Their plans quickly collapse after a fraternity arrives. What follows becomes an outrageous neighborhood war between them.
The sequel brings back Rogen, Byrne, Efron, and Franco. Chloe Grace Moretz joins as sorority leader Shelby. Beanie Feldstein and Selena Gomez also appear in the sequel. The story follows the Radners trying to sell their home.
Unfortunately, another wild group moves right next door. This time, a sorority starts throwing huge parties nearby. Both movies are packed with ridiculous pranks and conflicts. It also features plenty of R-rated humor throughout.
Both movies performed strongly at the worldwide box office. Neighbors earned around $270 million worldwide after release. The sequel still made around $108 million worldwide. The franchise also earned decent Rotten Tomatoes scores overall.
Neighbors received 72% from critics and 63% from fans, and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising scored 65% with critics and 44% with fans. Now, both R-rated comedies are coming to Netflix, allowing fans to catch Seth Rogen and Rose Byrne’s Neighbors and Neighbors 2 from September 1.
