Mat Armstrong has finally completed the $6 million Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport hypercar rebuild that the company told him was impossible.
The YouTuber has been attempting to rebuild the crashed hypercar for a while, and it has been a huge challenge for Armstrong and his team.
Bugatti refused to supply spare parts, and it was, of course, incredibly expensive for the YouTuber to undertake.
But amazingly, the finished product has now taken shape, and it might not be too long before this controversial Bugatti is back on the road.
How did Mat Armstrong rebuild the crashed hypercar?
With Bugatti refusing to provide parts for the car, Armstrong had to think outside the box.
That included the bodywork, with Armstrong buying a Venuum body kit for the car to give it new bodywork and panels.
Some viewers weren’t happy about this, saying the kit was too extreme and ‘out there’.
But as Armstrong said, it was the only way they could get the hypercar rebuilt.
There were still a lot of hurdles to clear.
Armstrong and his team had to reinterpret the rear wing and reuse the original Chiron Pur Sport wing so that it would fit on the car.
Thankfully, it worked, and once the paint had been applied, the car looked even better.
What’s next for the rebuilt Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport?
“The color looks immense,” said Armstrong, seeing the Lamborghini purple pearlescent applied to the bodywork.
“So much better than the wrap.”
With the panels painted, Armstrong thought it vindicated his decision to give the car its new body kit.

Towards the end of the video, Armstrong got to see the car virtually complete, with most of the bodywork applied.
“That looks mega,” Armstrong exclaimed as the car finally began to come together.
So, what next for the rebuilt Bugatti?
The next stage for the rebuilt hypercar is to give it its first test drive as a complete car again.
“We need a windscreen, we need all the silver accents,” Armstrong said, highlighting the work still needed.
“We’re almost across the finish line, hopefully, in the next video we will get that screen in, and we’ll be testing it at top speed.”
Finally, it looks like the end is in sight for this monumental rebuild.
