Bruce Campbell recently gave an update about his cancer diagnosis. The Evil Dead star recently shared details about his diagnosis and revealed that he may have around five years left to live.

Bruce Campbell recently spoke about his cancer journey on The Adam Carolla Show. The actor said doctors have given him a five-year prognosis.
Campbell said, “I’m in a five-year prognosis. With the type of cancer that I have, which I don’t want to get into, the current thing is a five-year deal.”
He described the timeframe as “Give or take.” The 68-year-old actor also stated that he believes treatments could improve and that medical advancements could potentially change his outlook.
Campbell continued, “I’ve decided, though, pretty specifically, though, to live with it, not die from it because you can go down a massive rabbit hole. The cancer rabbit hole is enormous. You can go into focus groups of 10,000 guys who have exactly what you have. I won’t touch it with a 10-foot pole.”
Campbell also spoke about the poignant themes of his new movie, Ernie and Emma, saying, “It’s a very fascinating timing of having a movie about a guy who’s spreading his wife’s ashes who died made by a guy who’s dying.” Notably, Campbell also directed the film as well as starring in the lead role.
Campbell first revealed his cancer diagnosis back in March. However, he has never revealed the specific type of cancer. While confirming his diagnosis to fans in a message posted on social media, he mentioned that for the foreseeable future, “appearances and cons and work in general” will take a “back seat to treatment.” He further added that there were planned appearances at “several cons this year” that the actor would “have to cancel.”
