Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s bid to find the ‘World’s Baddest Man’ begins later this month.
Dave Feldman‘s promotion will hold open tryouts in Manchester, England, two days before BKFC 94 takes place in the city on September 26. Additional tryouts are set for Brisbane (October 1), Belgrade (October 15), Tampa (October 21), and Las Vegas (November 14).
Ultimately, 50 fighters who weigh between 185 and 275lbs will be selected to compete in a tournament with a prize pool of $20 million.
How the competition works
Following the global tryouts, 50 fighters will be selected to compete in the One-Round Wars in Miami this December.
They face off in a single-elimination round of 25 two-minute fights. 16 fighters, plus 4-6 alternates, will advance to the Round of 16 in Philadelphia, USA, which is scheduled to take place during the first two weeks of February 2027.
All eight winners will earn a position on the Live Finale fight card (location TBD, approximately July 26-August 2, 2027), where they will compete for a share of the $20 million prize pool and BKFC contracts.
“It’s kind of open to anyone,” BKFC President Dave Feldman told Bloody Elbow. “Obviously, we are gonna weed through the people. If we get guys off the street who don’t know how to fight but wanna be a part of it, to protect them from themselves, we are not gonna allow them in it.
“We are gonna pick 16 guys who we think could potentially be the World’s Baddest Man and bring them into what’s called a one-round war fight-off. Whoever wins, the eight guys will move on. The 16 will be a part of the show, but the eight will be really, really focused on. All eight of those guys are gonna come out of that tournament very wealthy men.”
What fighters have signed up so far?
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship’s $20 million carrot has attracted some big-name applicants.
Dave Feldman cannot legally name any of them, but he promises fans will be stunned when they learn about a couple of superstar sign-ups.
“In our forms, there is a confidentiality agreement,” the BKFC boss revealed. “So I can’t tell you who, but there is two or three guys you are gonna be like, ‘Wow! I can’t believe he joined.’
Listen, they are not automatically making the show. They have to fight their way into the show. We can advance them into the final 16, and there is two that we kind of did advance to the 16 because we think they are gonna be great for the show.
“They still have to win. If they don’t win, they don’t make the show.”
