АНУ-ын хоккейн холбооноос 2026 оны алдрын танхимд нэр дэвших таван хүний нэрийг зарласан бөгөөд тэдний дунд алдарт ах дүүс болох Аманда, Фил Кессел нар багтжээ.

Two of America’s most famous hockey siblings will enter the United States Hockey Hall of Fame together.
Amanda and Phil Kessel, among the most popular and successful players of their era, were two of the five figures selected for enshrinement, USA Hockey announced Thursday.
Ryan Suter will join the Kessels, all three natives of Madison, Wisc., in the Hall of Fame later this year, along with T.J. Oshie (Warroad, Minn.) and athletic trainer Stan Wong (Fall River, Mass.).
Amanda Kessel is one of the great players in history and has played an instrumental role in the growth of women’s hockey in the United States. She participated in the Olympics on three occasions, helping Team USA win a gold medal in 2018. Kessel also led Team USA to four IIHF World Championship gold medals and won three NCAA championships at the University of Minnesota. She was named the 2013 NCAA Women’s Hockey Player of the Year. Kessel now works for the Pittsburgh Penguins organization.
Her older brother, Phil Kessel, is a legendary figure not only for his quirky personality but also his big-game accomplishments.
A three-time Stanley Cup winner (twice with the Penguins, once with the Vegas Golden Knights), Kessel was also a key player in Team USA’s ascent this century. Kessel produced 17 points in 14 career IIHF World Junior Championship games.
He put up six goals and 10 points in 12 career Olympic games, his calm, almost comically detached demeanor helping him thrive in high-pressure games. He is the NHL’s iron man, playing in 1,064 consecutive games from November 2009 to April 2023. Kessel produced 413 goals and 992 points during his career in Boston, Toronto, Pittsburgh, Arizona and Vegas.
Suter was one of the best two-way defensemen of this century, amassing 696 points in 1,526 NHL games.
He represented the United States twice in the Olympics (2010, 2014). His father, Bob, and uncle, Gary, also represented Team USA in the Olympics and his father was a member of the 1980 Miracle on Ice team.
Oshie won the Stanley Cup with Washington in 2018 and finished his stellar NHL career with 302 goals in 1,010 games. However, Oshie’s career will be best remembered for the 2014 Olympics in Sochi.
Oshie famously stared down Russia on its home soil during a shootout, scoring four times to give the United States one of its most memorable, non-gold-medal-winning victories. International rules stated that after three rounds of a shootout, the same player may be used continually. Dan Bylsma, the Team USA coach, called on Oshie again and again until the Americans won.
Wong has served as athletic trainer for Team USA in 59 international competitions dating back to 1986. He worked for the Washington Capitals and Florida Panthers before devoting most of his time to Team USA. He was the Team USA head athletic trainer at the Olympics in 2006, 2010, 2014, 2018 and 2022.
The USA Hockey Hall of Fame class will officially be inducted Nov. 30, 2026, in Washington, D.C.
