Noah Schnapp has been cast in a new thriller movie based on real events. The movie will also feature a Gotham actor and a City of God star. Further details about the movie and its production are provided below.
The Stranger Things actor is set to star in Stealing From Pablo, helmed by Carlos V. Gutierrez. It will also feature David Mazouz and Seu Jorge, according to Deadline. The movie is produced by FJ Productions and is inspired by true events from the 1980s.
“Red, a teenager trapped in the foster care system who organizes an underground skate session inside an abandoned Florida mansion with his best friend Dylan,” the description reads, “What begins as an adrenaline-fueled adventure turns into a nightmare when the boys discover the estate belongs to notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar. As they are drawn deeper into Escobar’s violent criminal empire, they find themselves caught between his calculating accountant and his ruthless chief assassin.”
Fabio Golombek and Shannon Alexander will serve as the movie’s producers. Schnapp, Jorge, Alex Cohen, and Marco Gomez are set to executive produce. Myriad Pictures will launch world pre-sales for Stealing From Pablo at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Noah Schnapp made a breakthrough in his acting career by playing Will Byers in Netflix’s Stranger Things. The 21-year-old has also acted in The Tutor, Hubie Halloween, and Waiting for Anya. The actor also starred in Abe alongside Seu Jorge.
Schnapp has also been a voice actor in The Legend of Hallowaiian, The Peanuts Movie, and Snoopy’s Grand Adventure. The actor will soon make this stage debut in the play Affluenza.
The stage play is written and directed by Andy Sandberg. Schnapp has revealed that he will play two very different roles in the stage production. Affluenza will premiere at the Riverside Studios in London, from September 26 to November 21, 2026.
