ComingSoon isexclusivelydebuting thetrailer for Johnny Depp‘s Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires. The upcoming documentary focuses on the hard rock supergroup, fronted by Alice Cooper, Depp, Joe Perry, and Tommy Henriksen.
According to an official synopsis, the documentary is “an exhilarating and heartfelt film that takes viewers on a captivating journey through the formation of the iconic band, Hollywood Vampires, and the profound impact they’ve had on their devoted fan base.”

What do we see in the Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires trailer?
The trailer begins with one of the founding members of Hollywood Vampires, Alice Cooper, talking about how the supergroup got its name. “Our Waitress, she says, ‘Every night you guys come in here, I only see you at night and all you do is drink. You’re like a bunch of vampires.’ And that stuck.”
Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires trailer then shows the iconic moments featuring all members, including Depp, Cooper, Perry, and Henriksen. Their band is about the unlikely bond between artists from very different worlds who discovered a shared sanctuary in music. Hollywood Vampires got its name from a celebrity drinking club formed by Cooper over fifty years ago.
The trailer then shows glimpses of each member talking about growing together in the band that has carved its own identity over the years. Cooper adds, “The band found its own rhythm without really forcing it.”
One of the lead guitarists, Perry, describes Hollywood Vampires as the “ultimate garage band.” The trailer ends with Depp expressing his happiness to be a part of the supergroup. “It’s an honor and privilege working with all these guys.”
Directed by Daniel E. Catullo III, Unleashed Spirits: The Rise of the Hollywood Vampires documentary will have its world premiere at the Boston Film Festival, inside the Boch Center Wang Theatre, on September 18, 2026.
