Найруулагчийн өмнөх “Man of Steel”, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” зэрэг DC-ийн төслүүдэд ашигласан удаашруулсан дүрслэлийн арга барил нь үзэгчдийн дунд хоёр талтай хүлээж авсан шүүмжлэлийг дагуулж байсан билээ.

Zack Snyder’s new movie lacks one dramatic effect that the filmmaker is known for. The particular visual effect has previously appeared in his DC superhero movies.
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Zack Snyder and his wife and producing partner, Deborah Snyder, opened up about filming The Last Photograph. They revealed that the director did not use slow-motion or green-screen scenes in the movie.
Snyder had previously used the slo-mo effect extensively in many of his major movies. These include his DC projects like Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and many more. While many fans appreciated its use, others have criticized its overuse and repetitiveness.
How Zack Snyder’s indie approach changed the look of The Last Photograph
Zack Snyder’s The Last Photograph was made with a small budget. In addition to directing the movie, the filmmaker served as the cinematographer.
“There’s no agenda to the movie,” Snyder said of his passion project. “When you make a big studio movie, there are a lot of things to consider about the product that you’re creating. Because it really is like a product much more than a thing that’s really a tone poem, you know what I mean?”
Deborah Snyder compared the movie’s production to her husband’s early days directing commercials and music videos. She said that the indie approach to filming has elevated the movie’s visual style.
“You have this smaller crew, but your visuals still look stunning,” she shared. “He knows how to make beautiful visuals, but you just don’t need all the bells and whistles, and all the people. You can move faster and shoot more. And I feel like that’s the evolution of him as a filmmaker.”
Deborah added, “When [the movies] got so big, you think you have more creative freedoms, but you actually have less, because you can’t move with agility.”
The Last Photograph is an action thriller, based on an original story by Snyder. The film’s plot follows two former DEA agents who venture into the treacherous South American jungle to get revenge. The movie stars Stuart Martin and Fra Fee.
