A recent update reveals when fans can expect HBO’s hit anthology series, The White Lotus, to return for its fourth season. It seems that the Emmy-winning show might return sooner than viewers expected.
In an interview with Deadline, Casey Bloys, HBO chief, was asked about when The White Lotus can be expected to return. Bloys’ answer was a six-month window, but surely sooner than many anticipated. When asked about when it could land, he simply said, “First half of ’27.”
He also teased that there are a “few nice surprises” in store for fans, although he did not elaborate on what these surprises might be.
Who stars in The White Lotus Season 4?
Given that The White Lotus is an anthology series, each season introduces a bulk of new cast members. It also takes place in a separate location in the White Lotus chain of luxury hotels, this time heading to Cannes, having already touched on locations like Hawai’i, Thailand, and Sicily.
This season is going to include Heather Graham, Steve Coogan, Tobias Santelmann, Frida Gustavsson, Alexander Ludwig, Vincent Cassel, Chloe Bennet, Rosie Perez, Kumail Nanjiani, Chris Messina, Laura Smet, Max Greenfield, Ari Graynor, Sandra Bernhard, Ben Schnetzer, AJ Michalka, and Jarrad Paul.
It also features newcomers Caleb Jonte Edwards, Charlie Hall, Corentin Fila, Nadia Tereszkiewicz, Marissa Long, and Dylan Ennis. Moreover, Ben Kingsley, Pekka Strang, and Max Minghella will appear in recurring roles.
Helena Bonham Carter was also attached to a role in the show, but had to exit the show over creative differences with show creator Mike White.
Season 4 is also set to include Laura Dern, who previously had a voice cameo in the second season of the show. She will be cast in a completely separate role, being developed and written for her, as per Deadline. She was cast following Carter’s exit.
Furthermore, there are rumors that characters from the previous season like Jon Gries’s Greg, Natasha Rothwell’s Belinda, and Nicholas Duvernay’s Zion may also make an appearance.
