The 2026 Premier League table has emerged, and it’s fair to say it provides grim reading for several clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Given that Arsenal won the 2025/26 Premier League title, fans would expect the Gunners to be sitting at the top of the annual table, and that’s the case, with Mikel Arteta’s side winning 16, drawing four and losing just three of their 23 Premier League games in 2026 to total 52 points.
Manchester City sit second on 50 points, having won 14, drawn eight and lost just two of their 24 English top-flight fixtures under the guidance of both Pep Guardiola and new head coach Enzo Maresca.
Despite a shaky start to the 2026/27 campaign, Michael Carrick’s Manchester United sit third in the 2026 table with 13 wins, six draws and four losses from 23 matches, while Bournemouth, to the surprise of some, complete the annual top four on 37 points from 23 games, having drawn 13, won eight and lost two.

Brighton and Leeds sit fifth and sixth, both on 35 points, while Liverpool supporters will be disappointed to find the Reds in seventh on 34 points, above eighth-placed Brentford, who have accumulated 33 points.
Liverpool have won just one-third of their 24 Premier League matches, drawing 10 and losing six under former boss Arne Slot, who has since been replaced by Andoni Iraola at Anfield.
Nottingham Forest, who have been managed by Sean Dyche, Vítor Pereira and current boss Oliver Glasner so far this year, sit ninth in the 2026 table on 31 points, while Sunderland make up the top 10 on 30 points after finishing seventh and qualifying for the Europa League during an impressive first season back in the Premier League since 2016 last term.
Chelsea have endured a tough 2026 and sit 11th in the annual table on 29 points, ahead of Newcastle, who have totalled 28 points from 23 matches, registering eight wins, four draws and 11 losses.
Everton, Aston Villa and Fulham are tied on 27 points in 13th, 14th and 15th respectively, while now-relegated West Ham United are 16th on 25 points from their 19 matches.
Despite winning the Conference League last term, Crystal Palace have struggled domestically and sit 17th on 22 points, ahead of 18th-placed Spurs, who have 18 points from 24 matches.
Wolves, also now relegated, are 19th, having won just three of their 19 matches and totalled 17 points, while fellow Championship club Burnley, who won just one Premier League game in 2026 before their relegation, are 20th on 10 points.
The three newly promoted sides, Hull City, Ipswich Town and Coventry City, sit 21st, 22nd and 23rd respectively, having played just four Premier League matches so far this term.
