Shudder has unveiled the trailer for V/H/S/Mixtape, the next installment in the popular horror anthology franchise. The upcoming iteration promises another eerie found-footage tale.
V/H/S/Mixtape will have its world premiere at Beyond Fest next Wednesday, before debuting exclusively on Shudder starting Friday, October 9. The upcoming movie serves as the ninth installment in the V/H/S horror franchise.
The film will feature segments from renowned filmmaker Ernest Dickerson, hip-hop icon RZA, director David Moreau, and acclaimed filmmaker Renee Zhan. Musician and director Flying Lotus also contributes music-video interludes to the film alongside filmmaker Tobias Forge.

What happens in V/H/S/Mixtape trailer?
The trailer for V/H/S/Mixtape opens with an uncanny shot of characters from a children’s TV show, one of whom declares, “It’s time to sing the songs,” before cutting abruptly to the blood-curdling scream of a woman tied to a chair.
The preview then begins with a terrifying montage of all the found-footage segments from the movie. Each vignette features some of the most chilling scenes the film has to offer. These include a killer murdering someone with a chainsaw inside a recording studio, a man tied to a table with another killer ready to torture him, and more such gory and uncanny shots.
Shudder teases, “V/H/S/Mixtape cranks the franchise’s signature found-footage horror up to eleven with an electrifying new anthology where music and sound become the source of terror. United by a theme that explores the power of music, rhythm, and audio to haunt, possess, transform, and destroy, the film blends cosmic horror, psychological suspense, outrageous splatter, and groundbreaking practical effects into one unforgettable mixtape of nightmares.”
Josh Goldbloom serves as producer alongside Steven Schneider, Roy Lee, Michael Schreiber, and Brad Miska. Meanwhile, Ben Ross and Rami Yasin are the executive producers.
