BKFC холбооны шинэ гэрээ байгуулсан Даррен Тилл ирэх онд Майк Перритэй тулалдах сонирхолтой байгаагаа мэдэгдэв.
BKFC 94 тэмцээний дараах хэвлэлийн бага хурлын үеэр Даррен Тилл өөрийн тулааны карьер болон ирээдүйн төлөвлөгөөний талаар байр сууриа илэрхийлжээ. Тэрээр Йоэль Ромерог ялж, BKFC-д 2-0 гэсэн амжилттай болсноо дурдаад, Майк Перритэй найман жил үргэлжилсэн өрсөлдөөнөө эцэслэн цэгцэлж, томоохон цэнгэлдэх хүрээлэнд тулаан зохион байгуулах хүсэлтэй байгаагаа онцолсон байна. Тэрээр Фюригийн гэр бүлийнхэнтэй холбоотой асуудлуудыг өнгөрсөн үед үлдээж, зөвхөн рингэн дээр тулгарвал л анхаарал хандуулах болно гэв. Одоогоор Майк Перри MMA-ийн тулаануудад оролцож байгаа тул түүнийг нүцгэн гараар тулалдах (bare-knuckle) төрөлд эргэн ирэхийг хүлээх л үлдэж байна. Darren Till went to battle with Yoel Romero to move to 2-0 in BKFC and now he’s gunning for an even bigger fight if he can find a way to lure Mike Perry back to bare-knuckle.
For the better part of the past five years, Perry and Till have gone back and forth through interviews and social media calling each other out but the fight just never happened. For the longest time, Till refused to engage in a potential move to bare-knuckle fighting but now he’s picked up two impressive wins and he’s ready clash with “The King of Violence.”
Unfortunately, Perry has been dabbling back in MMA for his past two fights and there’s no telling when or if he might take off the gloves again for a return to BKFC.
“It’s eight years now in the making me and Mike Perry and people are going to have other opinions … I personally think me and Perry sell a stadium out,” Till said at the BKFC 94 post-fight press conference. “I think the history, the back and forth for eight years, what could come of that? I sold that arena out tonight. I f*cking respect Yoel more than anything on this Earth. He’s a f*cking phenom but that was my arena tonight. If me and Mike Perry [fight], we’ll sell a stadium out.
“If Mike wants to come back here and he wants to be he ‘A’ side and get more money or whatever, my managers hate me now for saying this, but I don’t give a f*ck. But I want that fight. I want that fight to start next year if David [Feldman] can make that happen and I know he can.”
BKFC president David Feldman has said repeatedly he wants to make Till vs. Perry but now that matchup seems closer than ever before. Till also confirmed that he just recently inked a new deal to stay with BKFC so obviously he’s sticking with bare-knuckle fighting for his immediate future.
Another name that suddenly popped up out of nowhere on Saturday was Tommy Fury, who was supposed to face Till in a boxing match a few years ago but the British prospect scrapped the bout when he claimed he was concerned that the former UFC fighter would pull some MMA moves in a boxing match.
The boxing match was called off and Fury said he wanted nothing to do with Till moving forward.
It seems like that feeling is very mutual even after BKFC confirmed early talks with Fury about possibly competing in the promotion.
“I don’t want to answer anymore Tommy Fury questions,” Till said. “I’m sick to death of him. I terrorized him and his whole family two years ago and I just don’t know what else to say. Honestly, I couldn’t give a shit about Tommy.
“I wish him all the health and happiness in his personal life but I don’t give two f*cks about Tommy Fury. I don’t give two f*cks about John Fury. I don’t give two f*cks about Tyson Fury. I’ve got respect for Tyson, but I just don’t care to answer anymore Tommy Fury questions. Unless I see him standing in the ring across from me, I’m not asked.”
Whether it’s Fury, Perry or someone else, Till has plenty of options and now that he’s signed with BKFC for the longterm future, he appears ready for any and all challenges.
