Roberto Mancini has issued a response after being asked about the news that Manchester City have reportedly been found guilty in their 115 charges case.
On Friday, David Ornstein broke the news that City had been found guilty in 114 of the 115 charges in the trial against the Premier League.
The long process dates back to February 2023 when City were charged by the Premier League for financial breaches over a nine-year period between 2009 and 2018.
An independent commission were tasked with reviewing the case and a three-month hearing took place between September 2024 and December 2024.

Following a lengthy delay to a decision, Ornstein reported that City were found guilty of virtually all charges and said that while no sanctions have been decided, all possible punishments are believed to be on the table – with relegation, expulsion from the Premier League and EFL potentially on the cards.
City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak shared an official statement and maintained a defiant stance as he said, “our confidence and intent in proving the club’s innocence is just as strong as when this began”.
Roberto Mancini says “it isn’t my problem” as he responds to Man City charges news
Manager Enzo Maresca has not commented because of the international break but on Sunday, former boss Mancini was asked about the verdict.
The Italian delivered City’s first trophy for 35 years and a first league title for 44 years in a four-spell in charge.
It has been alleged that Mancini had two contracts during his time as manager, one which saw him paid £1.75 million per year for a minimum of four days’ consultancy work for an Abu Dhabi club also owned by Sheikh Mansour.
Now back in charge of the Italian national team, Mancini defended City in a press conference but stressed that the contract situation was not his issue.
“I don’t think Manchester City were found guilty, quite the opposite,” Mancini stated, as per Calcio Mercato.
“It’s not a problem that concerns me, and it isn’t anything new. Manchester City are not guilty, and on the double contract it isn’t my problem, theirs if anything.”
Former Premier League manager feels ‘cheated’ after Man City charges verdict
A couple days on from news that City are poised to be found guilty on a monumental scale, former Stoke City manager Tony Pulis weighed in with his thoughts in a column for the BBC.
City’s period of dominance in English football began with an FA Cup final win over his Stoke side at Wembley in 2011.
Yaya Toure scored the winning goal and while Pulis is not expecting the trophy to be given to Stoke and a winners’ medal sent to him, he does feel “cheated”.

“We lost, but to a team that have been found guilty of breaking the financial rules set out by the Premier League.
“In doing so, they did not just beat Stoke in an FA Cup final, they collected a stack of titles and went on to completely dominate English football for more than a decade. So, with those rules having been broken, what will the punishment be?
“Well, I know all Stoke supporters will be demanding that City pass the trophy over and every club that has been affected by their actions will be considering their legal options.”
Pulis added: “I still feel cheated. Whatever happens next, we won’t ever get that day back and the chance to celebrate around Stoke-on-Trent with the cup and medals we so honestly fought for. After breaking the rules, Manchester City got to do that instead.”
