How the Premier League salary figures were checked
To clarify, this list covers the 2026-27 Premier League and was last checked in September 2026, with salary figures being taken from Capology, a website that tracks and estimates player salaries.
All salaries on Capology are estimates and while they ‘strive’ for accuracy, the company do not have access to players’ contracts for official confirmation. This page will be updated when contracts or squads change.
The highest-paid player at each Premier League side – club-by-club
Arsenal: Bukayo Saka, £300,000 p/w
Saka became Arsenal’s highest-paid player in February after signing a five-year deal worth ‘in excess’ of £300,000 per week, according to the BBC.
Aston Villa: Leon Goretzka, £220,000 p/w
Goretzka went straight to the top of Aston Villa’s wage bill when he joined the club on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in August.
The experienced midfielder jumped ahead of fellow summer signing Nicolas Jackson (£180,000 per week) in the standings after penning a reported three-year deal worth £220,000 per week.
Bournemouth: Evanilson, £125,000 p/w
Evanilson joined Bournemouth from Porto in the summer of 2024 for a club-record £40.2million. He signed a five-year deal worth £125,000 per week, according to Capology.
Brentford: Igor Thiago, £110,000 p/w
After months of speculation surrounding his future, Igor Thiago signed a contract extension in February that will keep him at Brentford for another five years. He is said to earn £10,000 more per week than summer signing Mamadou Sangare.
Brighton: Luka Vuskovic, £100,000 p/w
Luka Vuskovic joined Brighton from Tottenham this summer for a club record fee of £46million. He penned a five-year contract, with an option for a further year, worth £100,000 per week, according to Capology.
Chelsea: Morgan Rogers, £280,000 p/w
Rogers joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in July for a club record £117million. The England international earns a reported £280,000 per week, which is £30,000 more than midfielder Moises Caicedo.
The 24-year-old signed a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge, with an option for a further year.
Coventry City: Taiwo Awoniyi, £50,000 p/w
Back in August, Awoniyi left Nottingham Forest to join newly-promoted Coventry City for a reported £9 million. Capology claim he picks up £50,000 per week.
Crystal Palace: Jorgen Strand Larsen – £125,000 p/w
Crystal Palace completed the signing of Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves in February for a club-record £48million. He penned a reported four-and-a-half-year deal at Selhurst Park worth £125,000 per week.
Everton: Jack Grealish – £225,000 p/w
Grealish returned to Everton on another season-long loan from Manchester City in September, with the Toffees contributing around £225,000 to Grealish’s weekly salary.
Fulham: Bernd Leno – £130,000 p/w
Leno signed a contract extension with Fulham in 2023, which is said to be worth £130,000 per week.
Sander Berge is second on the highest-paid list at Craven Cottage, bringing in a weekly salary of £120,000 ahead of Alex Iwobi and Joachim Anderson, who are on £110,000 a week.
Hull City: Sorba Thomas – £60,000 p/w
Wales international Thomas joined newly-promoted Hull from Stoke City this summer for around £7.5million, with add-ons potentially taking the fee close to £10million. He penned a four-year deal worth a reported £60,000 per week.
Ipswich Town: Exequiel Palacios – £100,000 p/w
Palacios became the first World Cup winner to sign for Ipswich in August, when he joined from Bayer Leverkusen for an initial £19.3million. He became the club’s highest-paid player on £100,000 per week.
Leeds United: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – £120,000 p/w
Calvert-Lewin skyrocketed to the top of Leeds’ wage bill after joining in 2025. James Trafford is the joint second-highest-paid player at Elland Road on £100,000 per week alongside defender Tarik Muharemovic.
Liverpool: Virgil van Dijk – £350,000 p/w
Van Dijk, who is currently in the final year of his contract at Anfield, takes home a reported £350,000 per week, according to Capology, a wage that makes him one of the highest paid players in the Premier League.
Manchester City: Erling Haaland – £525,000 p/w
Haaland is the Premier League’s highest-paid player by some distance, earning £175,000 more than the previously mentioned Van Dijk. He penned a nine-and-a-half-year deal to stay at City in 2025.
Manchester United: Bruno Fernandes – £320,000 p/w
Fernandes, who has entered the final 12 months of his current deal at Old Trafford, is United’s biggest earner ahead of Marcus Rashford (£320,000) and Youri Tielemens (£250,000).
Newcastle United: Joelinton – £190,000 p/w
The Brazilian signed a long-term deal with Newcastle in 2024 worth a reported £190,000 per week. He earns more than Yoanne Wissa (£170,000), who is the second-highest-paid player at Newcastle on £170,000 per week.
Nottingham Forest: Morgan Gibbs-White – £140,000 p/w
After much speculation, Gibbs-White committed his future to Forest last summer by signing a three-year deal. It appears the Premier League side went all out to keep him at the City Ground, making him their highest-paid player.
Sunderland: Granit Xhaka – £110,000 p/w
Sunderland pulled off one of the best signings of 2025 when they convinced Granit Xhaka to leave Bayer Leverkusen. The midfielder signed a three-year contract worth £110,000 per week, according to Capology.
Tottenham: Omar Marmoush – £250,000 p/w
Tottenham signed Omar Marmoush from Manchester City this summer on a season-long loan deal that includes an obligation to buy the forward for £60million.
He also became the club’s highest-paid player, overtaking Xavi Simons and Sandro Tonali, who are both reportedly on £200,000 per week at the North London club.
