Joe Locke’s Billy Maximoffmay not be done with theMCUjust yet, as new rumors point to his return inVisionQuest. A prominentMarvelinsider revealed details aboutBilly’sreported scenes, including a reunion with a key character.
Billy rumored to have two scenes in VisionQuest
Marvel scooperMyTimeToShineHelloclaims Billy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan, will appear in two scenes inVisionQuest. The insider posted the rumor on X on October 9. According to the post, one scene features a telepathic call between Billy and Tommy. The other scene is reportedly the final scene of the show.
Marvel has not officially confirmed Billy’s appearance in VisionQuest. Instead, the series focuses on Vision’s journey of self-discovery after his resurrection in WandaVision. It also follows Tommy Maximoff, Billy’s twin brother, as an 18-year-old orphan in London. Ruairdh Mollica portrays Tommy after his soul entered the body of Thomas Shepherd in Agatha All Along.
Meanwhile, the connection between the twins remains a key thread in the WandaVision trilogy. In Agatha All Along, Billy placed Tommy’s soul into Shepherd’s body after Tommy drowned. Furthermore, VisionQuest showrunner Terry Matalas has described the series as a sequel to WandaVision. He also confirmed it touches on elements from Agatha All Along.
Additionally, Mollica described Tommy as a grifter who is “lost in his life” and searching for purpose. He drew inspiration from Matt Damon’s performance in Good Will Hunting for his portrayal. Meanwhile, Lauren Morais plays Lisa Molinari, Tommy’s partner-in-crime, whom Mollica called “the only family Tommy has ever known.”
Marvel executive Brad Winderbaum previously said VisionQuest explores three generations. He described the show as being about a grandfather, father, and son. Paul Bettany added that the series examines “intergenerational trauma with fathers and sons.” Matalas has also said he has ideas for future seasons of VisionQuest. VisionQuest premieres its first two episodes on Disney+ on October 14, 2026.
